For those who said: "None, I don't feel I need it" ...

On average a Windows computer with no anitvirus and an internet connection is infected within 6 minutes.

Since Linux and Mac are becoming increasingly popular, viruses for them are too.

Antivirus is essential for all systems.

Where did you get that statistic? Do you mean that every computer takes only 6 minutes in average to be infected? Sounds like bull crap to me.

I learned that on a Microsoft Certified IT Professional course.

6 minutes is said to be the average for an unprotected Windows system.

Keep in mind that many systems sit behind a firewall and many network routers have firewalls built in.
A decent network router may keep you safe for longer, but doesn't provide protection against malicious scripts that may be on pages that you encounter while browsing.

Okay, but still that's absolutely made up and exaggerated. During the first 6 minutes almost every single user will be either checking e-mail or on a social network or something like that. Believe me, I've been using the Internet with no antivirus for far longer than 6 minutes and nothing's happened to me so far.

            Then you're lucky.

The first thing I install after the OS and Drivers is the antivirus.

On my HP desktop, it's McAfee and and windows security.

On my apple, I don't know what the security system would be called. I suppose it be "Lion" since the security seems to come with the system.

Unfortunately Avira... Detects only viruses where are none and if they are real it won't help me to know that there is one and get a billion notifications even if I ignore it and only that fact detains me to use my computer properly not the virus^^ Also Avira won't help me getting rid of viruses and it is completely useless!
