Adventure time, king of the hill, superjail, futurama, tosh.0, metalocalypse, catfish, true life, nature documentaries
Good list. I like cartoons too and I'm 30. I never outgrew the things I liked as a kid.
Does anime count? If so, Hellsing Ultimate, Black Butler, and D.Gray-man.
I was obsessed with Hellsing Ultimate (and the manga) when I was a teenager! So much ass-kicking going on in that show, and I love the character designs!
Hey. I watched Black Butler too. Still, Sebastian is too perfect that he's unbeatable in the anime. That's the only part I disliked.
The Walking Dead didn't make the list? Sword Art Online either?!?! This list makes me sad (╥︣﹏᷅╥᷅)
Sorry, I don't know many shows. I will check out walking dead, is it horror?
You have to watch it from the first episode. It's about people, the undead are just an obstacle.
There is a new part of it premiering this summer. It's basically about a zombie apocalypse, but it's not hokie or campy at all.
Also Game of thrones is awesome.
My brother is going to burn game of thrones for me. It's gonna take forever for me to catch up. But that's ok, at least I'll have something decent to watch.
All time fav:
House MD
Dexter (probably upto season 5)
The Office (both versions but US slightly more)
as for shows still on, I thoroughly enjoyed "the man without fear." Can't wait for season 2 next year
Sherlock (UK) is still running and I've been told I'll like it, and I think I will, but there is no way in hell I'ma start a TV series that releases 4 measly episodes every 2 years, after witnessing how miserable that makes its fans.
The McLaughlin Group. They're a bunch of miserable old people frustrated by lack of sex and antagonistic pursuits. It's sort of like Beavis and Butt-Head for college graduates.
Favorite show is Futurama. Beavis and Butt-Head is second favorite. I think B&B is the funniest show, but I love the stories on Futurama.
I like a lot of other cartoons too. Most my favorite things to watch are cartoons.
I'm a big tv series buff.
Liked
Breaking Bad
Lost
24
Prison Break
The Shield
House M.d.
The Walking Dead
Spartacus (if you dont mind a lot of sex and nudity)
American Horror Story (season 3 sucked.)
Scrubs
The 4400
Criminal Minds
I never watched Game of Thrones. I know it's popular but the story just doesn't seem like something I'd be interested in.
Breaking Bad, Orange is The New Black, and House of Cards.
I just realized how mainstream the shows I watch are.
I like cooking shows as well as documentaries and from time to time the nature channel .
Though I like Game of Thrones and Orphan Black well enough, Hell on Wheels and Black Sails are two shows that blew me away.
Last night I found something called Sharpe, which chronicles the British Army's fight against the French in Spain. It is amazingly well written and a very interesting period piece, as I have little familiarity with that part of history.
The tv is almost never on but i do like Chopped, Hells kitchen, Master chef, Face off, Project runway, nature stuff, Top gear, Fast n loud, documentaries, Snapped, umm I have watched saturday marathons of old Top Model seasons...don't judge me.
Me and a mate turned hells kitchen into a drinking game,
You drink whenever
Ramsey tells someone to touch a scollop or wellington
Tells someone to fuck off
Smashes food with his fist
The narrarator says something needlessley dramatic
Ramsey takes someones coat then swapps it and tells them to go back
Whenever someone overcooks the risoto,
I forget the rest, i remember some he remembers some but yeah, you get hammered pretty fast
Hells Kitchen. Don't you think Ramsay sometimes gone overboard at scolding people? I did saw that he's likeable among the audiences though.
I know quite a lot of shows that started as good ones.
The fact that they hugely depend on ratings makes most tv shows decline in quality in later seasons. This practice makes consistenty good tv shows almost impossible - they will continue, until they are bad and the ratings plummet.
I can't think of any short and good tv shows.
Why the thumbs down for that choice? :/
I watched The Shield. Thought it was real and gritty however I didn't really like the main character that much.
Yeah you're right. His character was flawed (which was good as the characters were real and therefore human) but I found too many flaws in his character in the end and it gave me the shits, so I didn't really care what happened to him at all, which is not good.
I found the same thing when I watched Tarantino's film Reservoir Dogs....I disliked all the characters so much that by the end of the film when they were all facing each other off with guns, I found myself saying out loud "Oh FFS just all kill each other so I can stop watching this film!":p
