Atheist, but I respect peoples religions and values.

I like to think theres a higher power out there. i dont subscribe to any particular religion tho.

As a black man trying to make it in this world, I feel it's not too important as long as I'm a good person.

Im Jewish with a lean towards nothing. I enjoy being able to claim the family traditions as part of my culture and upbringing, but I dont really believe in a lot of what the torah says happened.

My biggest “conspiracy theory” or “the torah says this, but heres what science says really happened” esque belief is that Moses and the burning bush was really Moses and the burning kush. I think he probably was high off of something and just spitballin highdeas to a regular bush...

I did not vote as what I am is not exactly on the list:

For starters I spent about 25 years looking at different religions because my Protestant Minister could not answer questions I had in the class for admission to the church.

He was actually very wise; and offered me a list of all the other religious organizations in the area (including just a few couples that met in a house) and advised me to take my questions to all the other religions. That is was more important that I find a religion I was comfortable with - than it was that I became a Protestant.

What I found was that for example; if you take what they Judo-Christians consider the 10 commandments, and remove the part on who you worship and when (Yahweh, on Saturday the Sabbath); that all the others are repeated concept for concept (and surprisingly almost word for word in some cases) in the other religions.

I don't think that is an accident (Call this a core personal belief).

I've also met many a wonderful truly spiritual person from other religions that I have total faith in that they are a real benefit to society and the world. They will gladly sit down and talk about similarities and how to improve the community and the world - regardless of the other person's specific religion (remember similar concepts).

In the late 1990's I was led into a full "Christian" Bible study where I really read a modern translation and many other books (many seminary textbooks) on the meaning (or possible meanings) of various sections or issues in the "Bible". It was a real revelation - and I have no idea what most so called modern Christian Religions are teaching these days (a lot of it is not just not in the Bible - some of it is directly contradicted by the Bible).

Anyway... In the end I discovered that some form of infinite intelligence does exist (call it "God") that it is quite reasonable that one specific "god" with the name Yahweh (or something like that in modern languages) would have chosen to be the "god" of a group of people (The Bible is quite clear that multiple gods existed).

I believe Christ existed (I think the evidence is overwhelming) and that he had a basis to be called "the son of god" (however, note that applying the concept of being a "son of god" is not unique to the New Testament and Jesus; as any real biblical scholar knows). That Jesus had a real message from "god" for his people - and that the message applies to me.

As such, I believe I am Christian; but not one that fits within any of the modern Christian Churches I have found. Many of my beliefs are more Jewish based (Jesus was a Jew); and there is very little in the New Testament that was not extracted or based on teachings from the Old Testament other than the personal history of the individuals mentioned.

At the same time. I believe that there are other paths to religious success outside of through Jesus. Jesus - and his extension of Judah ism is I believe but one path.

I also believe that there is worldwide evidence of this from the medical community and others who deal with people in near death situations.

It is very commonly reported that its not uncommon for a medical team to save a person that was on the verge of death -and that a noticable percentage of them have 2 immediate reactions.

1) They are totally terrified of what they saw and expected to experience. Some will very briefly say that they saw some form of dark hell waiting for them. Then in a few moments they totally suppress this memory and forget about it...

2) Others tell of how peaceful and joyful they saw their next stage in life and that they knew friends were waiting for them. The may report that all they had to do was walk towards the light when they were pulled back to their body.

A number of these people remember this experience... and they know that they have lived a good life and need to continue it.

These "Heaven or Hell" experiences are reported to occur to people of all faiths around the world.

Think about that if you truly believe that your specific belief is the only path for people...

Christian. But I'm cool with anyone's personal beliefs.

Don't think about it cause I don't really care. So long as they don't pester me about it I don't care what people beilive

Secular Humanist

Pastafarianism is the true way for me. Add Pastafarianism please.

I’d vote agnostic myself. I really don’t think there’s a possible way you can prove or disprove that there is a God. I guess I’d say it’s up to the person to make their decision.

I'm an atheist, but I think it doesn't really matter exactly what you believe if you try to be a good, loving person.

There's probably a label for me, like secular humanist or something, but I haven't found an accurate label yet

I look into different schools of thought, philosophy, even some proclaimed religions, but I don't think any one of those is universally "correct", I just try to broaden my horizons with what they can offer. I usually just say I'm spiritual if I'm asked

I would say I'm a universalist. Though by design they are too milquetoast to have actual hardline beliefs.
