Well these kids have grown up in a photography obsessed world, had their childhoods photographed and displayed for all the world to see on social media. So they've grown up to be freakishly photogenic. I actually call them Gen Z. Generation Zoolander.
I've read some articles which state millennials are self-absorbed, in constant need of praise, feel entitled to thing they haven't worked for, and cannot abide any sort of criticism.
Other than on this website, I have virtually no contact with that generation.
Millennials can't deal with opinions other than their own. Seems like a trait of weak mindedness
I am a Generation Xer. I think it is unfortunate that we have a stereotypical view of people who may be more ignorant than stupid in ways of their teachings. I like the originality of ideas and thought but not the planning ability or being able to foresee consequences. I believe given the chance with the right tools, they can learn what past generations want to share. It is tragic the education system or any other establishment is unwilling to do this.
I guess I am one, but when do you stop getting millennials? And what comes after?
My thoughts are that there is greater variation within a group than there is variation between the average members of all different groups :P It's strange to me to give a label to a whole generation of people as if there are noteworthy distinctive common characteristics.
As a quintessential Baby Boomer I implore the younguns to strive mightily to work as much as possible and maximize their income and thus pay the maximum in taxes so that my Social Security retirement will prevent me from being forced to dig through dumpsters to find enough life-sustaining food to allow me to, maybe, live a couple more years.
