Old Chevy truck, bitches. Eventually I'd like another old VW and if dreams really do come true, I'll have a Mercedes Unimog, preferably from the 50's.

It's a 2004 Ford Taurus. It's kind of falling apart at the moment, but I can't afford to do much for it.

I'm a gearhead so my response is a bit mixed.
My Ford is 10 years older but is likely to survive longer than the Nissan. It's much more sturdy and can survive rougher conditions.

The Nissan is newer and still has heat and A/C, it's a 350z while the Ford is a Thunderbird so obviously it has better prospects as a racing car. It's also a manual so while I can and have replaced the clutch to keep the transmission going, I'm not keen on rebuilding an automatic.

The Nissan is by far nicer to drive but the Ford is a better utility vehicle so objectively, they're both good but better depends on the use. I need to do some work on the Ford to make it a nicer ride but that's more due to age than quality of build.

Yes, a woman I use to work with had a Nissan and it was actually reasonably flimsy built. Nissan's seem to have dropped in build quality since the French have been involved with them. No offence intended by the way.

Well, the 350Z isn't flimsy, but I wouldn't trust a Nissan Truck if I wanted to buy a truck and use the capabilities that a truck is intended to have. Most car and truck people I know would agree with me.

Also, I don't know why you were thumbsed down, it's a reasonable question. The 350z doesn't seem flimsy to me but it is built to handle sporting conditions.
