What could this mean?

I had a dream where I was desperately trying to find my way home. It was pitch black outside and I felt like my life was in danger. I kept going in circles and I couldn't find my way. But the thing about this dream is that it started with me leaving the house where I currently live. My "home". I'm very confused by this dream and I want to hear some input from other people.

    I'm gonna get real deep here and assume that you're afraid of straying and or have strayed from your true self and are feeling lost trying to find your "home" again.
