What do people think of big muscles?

I've always loved that huge bodybuilder look and eventually want to reach that size myself. I'm not talking about toned, I mean way bigger than is necessary.

But don't people usually mock that guy? I don't want to reach my dream and spend the rest of my life being laughed at and ridiculed.

They're gross 28
I point and laugh 9
They look fine 15
I really don't care 21
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I don't find it so attractive. I prefer thin men.

I find it very unattractive, but I don't laugh unless they give me a reason to - for example, I once saw a man in the grocery store flexing and squatting in the vitamin/protein aisle... It was quite obvious that he was doing it for attention -- I found it slightly entertaining, then went on about my business and haven't thought about him until just now. But that could be anyone doing anything, as long as it's funny I'll laugh to myself, but I wouldn't do it their face. Sometimes you see people doing things and it just looks funny.

That said, I think you should do what makes you happy and not worry about what people think or say about you, especially if you don't know them. Some people like big muscles some don't - you can't please everybody. So it's best if you just do what makes you happy, so long as it doesn't harm you or anyone else in the process.

If you mean steroid ripped or the size of the hulk, I don't like it. I like muscle definition but I don't like it when it is so extreme.

    Who cares if they laugh?
You know your dream will require lots of expensive steroids to achieve? Plus a shitload of food.

    • Well this poll is turning out worse than I thought it would...

Steroids aren't really necessary for this, I don't know why you think so. Steroids are for athletes and people who want to pose naked in front of crowds. The body can get pretty big with extensive weightlifting and a proper diet.

Sorry, I thought you wanted to look ridiculously big like Coleman or Kali, etc.

        • I do, but I don't really know how far the body can go. Looking up pictures doesn't help because every person in the world who's the least bit muscular is assumed to be on steroids. And no one admits to doing steroids, so I don't know who to believe.

I would never do steroids myself. No money for that stuff, and I imagine there's a certain satisfaction if someone says you do steroids and you know you don't. Same goes for "supplements".

I literally signed in just so i could teach you a thing or two about ''natural bodybuilding''.Truth is there is no such thing as natural bodybuilding.A big scam to sell useless powders and etc.Dont expect to become really big especially nowhwere near the size of coleman etc.And yes most people who look larger than life or are shredded to the bone are most likely on drugs.Even the models you see on covers may not be so big but at least a 90% is on something.Be realistic with your goals and if you want to take it to an extreme level you WILL need to take drugs.

            • As I said, "I do, but I don't really know how far the body can go".

If natural bodybuilding won't take me past a certain size, then so be it. I'm not going to cross over to steroids, regardless, and I'm definitely not going to sit on my ass and not try because some random dude on the internet said natural bodybuilding doesn't exist.

What exactly is your problem that you signed in just to try and discourage me?

I love my mussels (the bigger the better) steamed with Herbes de Provence, rice, asparagus, and garlic bread. Yum, yum.

I kind of admire it. It shows they care about themselves enough to work hard. What I really like though are builds like Bruce Lee who are just in great shape and don't just work the flashy muscles.

I workout just to be in good functional shape. I like having toned muscles and being able to move, be athletic, and play sports. I personally wouldn't want to be like a bodybuilder. I think an athletes body looks much better. Like a wide receiver in football or an mma fight for example.

Huge, freaky body builders aren't strong. Ever seen one on "world toughest men"?
Nope. The strong ones (cock strong) are big, fat and only a few veins showing on their arms.

Bodybuilders can pump huge weight, but watch any 120 lb MMA fighter type kick there ass in less than 1 minute.

Why? Because they lack flexibility and speed.

Lets face it. This is what people think about huge body builders.
    1. Dum as shit.
    2. Small dicks.

If you want admiration, work out naturally. Build your body to enhance your body frame, not freak it. In other words, your guns should stretch your shirt sleeves....not rip it.

I'm trying to think if I've ever even seen someone that ripped in-person...only tv comes to mind.

I share your dream but I sometimes feel guilty about the ridiculous amount of food I eat for the sake of my vanity.
No, I'm not trying to be a dick. Seriously.
