It's a scary thing if you're trying it out for the first time; it honestly felt like a very watered down experience of what going to war must feel like.

-Cool story time-

The first time I was playing paintball, it was early morning and we (my team) had been sent to the north side of a very large field; the enemy team on the south side of it.

Without thinking about it, I dashed across the misty field as fast as I could. My plan was to reach their zone before they did and hunker down somewhere directly behind them.

Of course the risk was that they might get to their zone before I did and I would meet a very foolish end.

But lo! My fondest wish was accomplished and I settled behind a boulder, directly behind their location with my team-mates in front of them. They were pinned.

To storm my location they'd have to expose themselves to my team's line of fire or else allow me to keep sniping them off one by one.

Anyway, they did eventually come for me after I wiped out roughly half their team. For them it was a lose-lose situation; I suppose they just wanted revenge before they lost the match.

And it wasn't exactly ethical what I did but it wasn't illegal either ;D

I am imagining someone running elegantly (in slow motion of course) and swan diving for the most perfect frisbee catch ever, only to end up face-planting into a giant mud puddle. ^_^
