Every night rosey. There is a lot of other nature sounds that help as well. I first started with these to drown out a neighbors dog barking why I sleep, now I love it, and I bet my neighbor loves it that I don't open my window every morning like the 4 non blonds and scream at the top of my lungs
"shut ya fucking dogs up"
I daydream until I fall asleep. Read more books and make up stories in your mind.
Yes that is exactly what I do. Problem is I ran out of daydream content. Sometimes I run out a story’s course, and dont have a new idea to work with, so I cant sleep
How do you run out of daydream content? I've never had that problem before. Sometimes I daydream the same things several times to get it right, but I've never *run out* of ideas before. There are literally infinite possibilities.
I have very specific criteria for day dream content. When a story I have been thinking of runs is course and catches up to to a day where I have not consumed any media worthy of emulating in a story, my brain then tries to think of something to put me at ease and fall asleep. That constant thinking and searching for a “new idea” is what keeps me up at night.
I picture the roots of a plant just a few inches from the top soil. I imagine it's very cool and relaxing.
First I put on a diaper and pee in it, then after it's thoroughly soaked I turn on some porn, pull my diaper down to my knees, and stand in the middle of the living room and jack off cuming in my diaper. After that I'm able to sleep.
What I usually do is stay up reading forums like this one, then suddenly become overwhelmingly tired at the exact moment it becomes clear that I need to stay up or I'll sleep through my alarm.
What I do if I'm damned serious about getting to bed is take a half dose of Benadryl, drink a beer, read something on my black & white Kindle (because video screens apparently fuck up your sleep patterns), and put on some William Basinski or Robert Rich.
Hmm let's see:
-listen to music
-read something boring
-do planks (weird, but works)
-masturbate
-daydream
-try to answer all the weird questions that come to my mind
Last night I took valerian root and melatonin, then watched a boring video about menopause, fell asleep. Well, it was more about early this morning than late last night, but you get the picture.
Spelling out different numbers in Roman Numerals. Also, putting the comforter or a pillow between my knees helps. From my knees to my mid thigh.
I listen to sleep sounds or white noise. Rain sounds are good (but not with thunder or birds tweeting).
Like others have said... play games (on phone or cards or something) I sometimes watch YouTube, apparently sex or masturbation helps.. warm milk or some sort of comfort food??
From what I hear from people, the solution is to always go to bed and wake up at the same time, even on the weekends. it takes time but everyone i know who has done this has said that they finally get good sleep. Your body likes consistency, If you're always changing it up, it seems as if it makes it much more difficult.
When I can't sleep, I have 2 glasses of whiskey (More during bad times). A fast one and one I enjoy. Then I go to bed and think about restoring my old 6-series, or my broken S600.
Or I think of sci-fi concept vehicles. It could be anything. A futuristic airplane, or a submarine, spaceship, exploration vehicle...
Thinking about the brilliance of technology relaxes me and lets me fall asleep easier.
-Masterbate
-Listen to relaxing music
-Take melatonin
-Eat something
-stretch
I've heard so much about melatonin being a great sleep aid. I think I'll have to try it.
It is. I have heard its especially useful in the age of technology because the blue lights in screens supress melatonin which is one of our primary sleep hormones that tells us its bed time. I have used it plenty and it is highly recommended!
Melatonin always gave me really vivid horrible nightmares. Id just say drink a lot
More alcohol.. but nah, my sleep schedule is pretty normal these days from having more to do (work, exercise etc)
I inhale mint extract for about 20 minutes that stuff is strong and makes me feel relaxed.
