What do you think about guys being shirtless in public?

There's nothing wrong with a guy going out shirtless so long as he's respectful about it. That woman was just being a bitch I think. I mean, come on really.

There are certainly places where it would be less acceptable or inconsiderate though.

Haha I used to have this shirtless friend and one day we were hanging out and it was a really hot, sweaty day so I took my shirt off and he got really mad and made me put it back on. I think he saw the situation as gay somehow. Sorry for the pointless story lol

I live in a coastal city with a beach lifestyle. So its widely accepted to be in public places shirtless and shoeless in the suburbs close to the beach, with the public assumption being that you've been to the beach that day. One pointless trivial thing I've always wondered is where the cut off distance is from the beach where people start thinking instead god this guy is really lazy at dressing himself. Lol

If it's okay for the beach, it seems like it's probably fine elsewhere.

I'll go shirtless when exercising, but for some reason it's awkward when I'm just walking about.

Personally I don't think you should have to wear any clothing at all in public land. The human form is not indecent, it is our natural state.

On a personal level I think I would still wear clothes but it is the principle of the concept of indecency and the laws around it that bother me.

I'm a shirtless guy mostly around my own house. I'll walk shirtless along the Riverfront in NOLA during the sweltering month of August to harvest the barest of breeze.

The proper conclusion is to get the law out of peoples business, not expanding their meddling with our bodies by also banning male public appropriate shirtlessness, but to embrace the legal right of women to the same freedom.

Yes I'll go to the beach and work in my backyard without a shirt and I'm not 20 or super-fit. I do not forbid people doing what doesn't necessarily appeal to me, and I'm hoping others won't do the same to me.

As for people displaying themselves in the shopping mall, in office buildings, on trains or whatever - well how gorgeous you are doesn't come into it. It's just inappropriate.

I actually find it quite disgusting. I dont want to see guys with their tits out reguardless of what they look like.

I think its gross and I think if girls have to wear shirts men do too esp the ones with man boobs. I hate seeing a guy shirtless, like cover it up! Hide ur goodies. Its nice when a hot guy gives u a sneak peak of his chest on accident when he stretches or does something that accidently lift uo his shirt but not when he purposely do it and reveal EVERYTHING. Ew and when guys wit nice bodies do it then the fat guys with beer bellies always feel like they have the right to do it. Its disgusting. I work at a kid friendly amusement park and I always make sure the guys put their shirt and idc what they think. Show some respect.

As long as it looks good I don't think there's a problem! No moobs, scary nipples, excess skin, infected scabby skin, runty or fat blokes though! Sometimes showing a nice body can distract from an unfortunate face!
