What do you think happened to gabby petito (the missing girl)?

If you haven't heard the story she went on a road trip with her fiance in July and he came back without her in her van in September, lawyered up, is refusing to cooperate with police and they're looking in different states but so far can't find her anywhere.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

“lawyered up, is refusing to cooperate”

    You’ve answered your own question.

I think he was much more abusive then anyone is letting on based on the way her family “spoke” to his. And Bc normally when police get involved, an abused woman is very quick to take the blame so the man doesn’t get arrested.

I honestly can’t assume she’s alive. There’s way too much access to cell phones today and a lot of people go missing at parks.

Apparently they were obsessed with serial killers. I think too young kids took an interest too far.

Yeah, I got abuse vibes. It says an awful lot that her parents quite clearly think he might have killed her. You normally wouldn't think like that. It's something that happens when you don't trust a person.

Yeah I feel like maybe he was manipulative.

It does seem to be pointing towards that sadly that something terrible happened.

I assume either a kidnapping or a homicide happened.

    • They found her body so definitely a murder now. The sick thing is there are like 200+ people who made a group to support Brian 😑

      Comment Hidden ( show )
    • Yeah I'm thinking homicide too even though it's incredibly sad, it's really messed up how he's not even speaking to police or anyone.

Shes dead in some random grave somewhere.

Not talking to the police and immediately lawyering up is the best way to draw the most suspicion to you.

I honestly don't know, but if I were one to gamble I'd bet that he killed her.

This story has been on my mind ever since I first learned about it. It seems there is a good chance the fiancé is involved, and they most likely got into an argument and he dumped her off into the wilderness to fend for herself (possibly without her phone, as I read somewhere that they had been arguing over a phone when they were pulled over by the cops), or he killed her, either purposefully or on accident. Hopefully she is alive and safe, but I sadly doubt it. Very sad situation.

Is there really any doubt that the boyfriend killed her? What possible good reason is there for not cooperating with her family & authorities?

      Not proven guilty yet.

Though in the court of public opinion hes taking out all the stops to pretty much conclude that hes a murderer.

No he hasn't been proven guilty but he's proven to be most likely.
I predict it's only a matter of time before he's proven guilty.

He either killed her, sold her to sex trackers, she died in some kind of accident & he can't prove it was an accident (doubt it) or she started a new life & just doesn't want to be found (seriously doubt it)

Update: They found her body, she's dead. How I don't know, but I say he's fucked when/if this go's to court when they find him cause he's on the run now.

Apparently the fiancé is missing or in hiding now too. If he offed himself, they might never find either one of them.

Stories like this don’t always turn out with the most obvious conclusion, but it would certainly be a surprise at this point if it was anything other than he murdered her. I just hope they can figure out what happened one way or another so her family can get closure. I can’t imagine losing a loved one like this.

        Insensitive, but accurate.

Once you omit facts in favour of preserving ones feelings, being sensitive becomes extremely dangerous.

The only fact omitted in favor of preserving feelings here is the fact that the “insensitive comment” was also fucking moronic.

No, we’re on the same page here. Omitting facts in favor of feelings can definitely make being sensitive extremely dangerous. That’s why I’m not going to be PC when I describe that comment for what it was.

So it's moronic for mentally ill people to take their medication?

Figured I’d see if your comments were worth reading anywhere else. Not surprisingly, they aren’t. I see two possibilities here:

1)You made an honest mistake and didn’t realize there was more to the comment I was referencing than the first seven words

              Or

B)This is yet another lazy, poorly done troll attempt.

If it’s the first one, feel free to scroll up, see the error of your ways, apologize, and perhaps delete your comment before anyone else sees it. If it’s the latter, troll on I guess.

What world do some of you live in? 22 is to young?

I was ready to go at 15, yes you need to be careful and be really careful about who and where you're going. There is safety in numbers and going out on a long trip (over 2 weeks) one on one is probably not the greatest idea.

Yes it was many years ago, but I went on a 30 day eurorail trip at 17 between my junior and senior year in high school. There were 10 of us.

I still see a lot of high schoolers or recent graduates traveling in the summer months.

Numbers and being cautious is the key.

I also think something is fishy about the bf. However, I'm just hoping she wanted to disappear at least for a little while and made the bf promise not to tell.

    I know wishful thinking!

I suppose it's possible that this is just a publicity stunt to boost viewers of their channel... But I am really reaching here. Wishful thinking. It's almost certainly something much worse. That poor girl was so young. I feel sorry for her parents.

Not going on a cross country trip with a boyfriend in a small van is up there on things I would not let my daughter do. 22 is too young to do these kinds of trips with too little contact.

You can't stop a 22 year old from doing something.

As a parent I would be nervous about it as well, and would caution against her doing it with such a dickhead of a partner, but ultimately a 22 year old will make their own choices.

Hopefully my parenting skills would dissuade my daughter from making a stupid decision like that.

I'm 23 and I dislike the idea of doing a van blog roadtrip.

Yeah I think that's a bit too young especially since you're in a tiny van in the middle of nowhere half the time

That's something to do when you are retired or on a mid life crisis spirit journey.

If you wanna see the world in safety I recommend joing the military. It's more educational to the state of the world .
