I mean if you have a good enough pitch you can sell anything. If it is useful or not. Thats how business works my freind. Its either a want or a need. Convince them they want it they will buy, convince them they need it they will buy.

Could you describe this in detail?

          Comment Hidden ( show )
        • Maybe it's where you got the idea from, but for the benefit of others, I will mention that a women ended up with a really fucked up (pun intended) downstairs area after using a homemade, electric saber saw + rubber dildo sex toy.

This sounds like a badly written comedy sketch. If so, don't quit your day job.

  • Sorry bud, its shit. People just want to eat their muffins, they don't care if some is stuck, they surely don't want to spend time after eating it trying to scrape off the remaining

    • I beg to differ, that part of the muffin is one of the best parts, and with more people being more conscious of their food waste, i really think a lot of people would really love this. you honestly disagree? you really think you wouldn't want your very own muffin topper if it were available ?

I can't wait to purchase this life and wallet changing invention. I feel like so many muffin crumbs go wasted, but now with this; in 3 years of harvesting muffin crumbs I will be able to recoup my losses and make a free muffin cake. Thank you my savior! I vote all of the above minus the negatives!

I just use my finger to get the muffin residue off the cup. I don't think I would use one but I could possibly buy one as a gift for someone else.

I usually get muffins at work when someone else brings them. Am I supposed to walk around with this device in my pocket waiting and hoping that someone will bring in muffins? I doubt it. So licking my fingers, or washing them, after cleaning the muffin cup isn't that big of a deal. I would have to wash your device as well, so no extra effort in washing my fingers.

          -
        • mine doesn't need washing because you eat all the muffin that it scrapes up. it is small and would fit your pocket with your phone. you can take your Muffin Topper with you anywhere

I think anyone who cares enough to buy a device to scrape excess muffin off the paper would probably be just as happy using a spoon or their fingernails.

        -
      • Breaking out the muffin topper, and then having to wash it afterwards would not, overall, be as quick or easy for most as just using standard methods.

        Comment Hidden ( show )
          -
        • You don't have to clean it ever because you just eat the muffin parts that it scrapes up

          • The blade that would cut the muffin parts from the cup would definitely get dirty though.

            Comment Hidden ( show )
              -
            • no because you just eat the muffin bits and that cleans the blade

              Comment Hidden ( show )
  • This should have its own infomercial, lol. It falls into the same category as all of the other one-purpose items that do the same job as a simple, multi-purpose kitchen knife. No thank you.

But wait, I forgot that you can boast saying, "It works for cupcakes tooo!" Anyway, most of the muffins and cupcakes that I eat I bake at home, without paper or foil cups.

    • Im thinking that after i make it, i really will pay to have it on a infomercial. I think i might go all in with my life savings on this, i really think it will do well despite all of IIn opinion so far.

      • I would find it genuinely sad if you spent all of your life savings on producing and marketing this gadget.

If these types of gadgets are advertised smoothly, and people like the idea (from the responses on IIN most will not), they tend to see small to moderate amounts of success at best.

However, they almost always fall into disuse and obscurity after a short amount of time. Imo, this should be a small side project type thing that wouldn't hurt too much if it flopped.

Also, I sometimes don't even use a knife to scrape the remainder off the cup. I just scrape the paper against my bottom teeth, or pick it off with my fingers. No utensil needed.
