I never had a dog as a pet in my life, and most of them scare me. I really want a Pug, and my mom agreed upon it. Then she did alot of research about them and told me we wern't going to get one. Turns out they shed alot, and have alot of medical issues.

To me they look like aliens but still cute. I like dogs but i have allergies so shedding is a no no. That's why i have a french poodle.
All dogs are expensive. Dog insurance is a must. You never know what will happen. Do some research online see what dog will best suit your lifestyle. Make sure to read about certain food brands. Most commercial brands aren't so great. Organic is best. The food you give a dog can make a difference in their health. Certain breeds need special diets and stimulating their minds is a must or a dog will get bored and destructive ^-^
They're very cute, but it's true that purebred dogs have a lot of health issues due to the fact that most of them are inbred. My Nana has a purebred Shih Tzu, and she has sunk literally thousands of dollars into veterinarian bills.
They are cute and sweet and look like little piggys . Also we have one and she is the stupidiest thing on earth I mean even for a dog she is butt retarded she is impossible to train .
They are awesome. I want to get a rescued one once I can afford any health costs he may have.
There are certain breeds of pug that don't shed. You might have to do a little bit of searching, but I'm sure you could find one. Personally, I like pugs. They have really fun and loving personalities and they do some of the funniest things you could imagine. They can be a bit rowdy by chewing on and tearing stuff up if you don't spend a whole lot of time with them and be sure to train them right. They are also some of the cutest and at the same time ugliest dogs that there is in my opinion XD
I really want a dog too, but not a small rat-like dog like a Chihuahua (no offense to Chihuahua owners).
I really like German Shepherds, Labradors and Huskies.
And when I have my own place I will get one or two!
Probably two so they can keep eachother company for when I'm not there.
I will do my best to be there for them a lot but most dog owners don't take their dogs to work I think xD
Why do you want a pug if I may ask?
If your mom wants a healthy dog which doesn't lose a lot of hair you should do some research on the interwebz, there's probably dogs out there that match that discription.

They are cute but they are not the best kind of dog to get if you have never had one before also make sure to study about dogs and especially the dog you want before you get it or else it might just go wrong...
