What does it mean when you dream of an ex?

So I had a dream last night about my ex boyfriend. I refused to see him or talk to him while we were sitting down. He was on my right staring at me while I was putting on makeup and he said we should go out just you and me. And I said are you serious and he said yeah, so I said ah okay and put on lipstick and walked away. I text my friend that he is here. That's all I remember and that my friend was there with me. What does this dream represent? Do I miss him? Was he thinking of me and I had this dream? Or was it just a dream and let it go?

    Hard to say. Do you miss him?

    He mightve been thinking about you. It couldve meant something, but at the same time it could mean nothing.

    Thats why I say its hard to say. So who knows.

    But dreams are just dreams, and thats all you gotta care about

      Yeah it's hard to say if he does think about me or not since we had a bad break up. And he told me I deserve better guy.
      It might just be all a dream and that's all who knows honest unless he tries contacting me.

          How? Thru phone call. Why because he said I deserve better guy. He can't contact me though because I block him on everything.

              That I don't know the answer too but maybe he was cheating and felt guilty. I honesty don't know and I tried to get him to explain why and he said that it just can't work between us because we "live far" (literally an hour away) and that I'm already starting to have feelings for him too fast ( I never told him I loved him or anything but I was clingy towards texting him) and that he is still heartbroken by his ex of many years. So I wished him good luck in finding a good woman that will love him for him and hopefully he returns with his ex and he said that he tried contacting her few weeks ago and it didn't go well. So then I block him afterwards. And I wonder to myself if in a few he will comeback when he realize what he lost.

    It means that you were asleep and happened to be thinking about him during the day. To understand what it means, you just have to think about how you most recently thought about him during your waking hours. Dreams have no consistant meaning as they are mostly random data from your subconscious. Whether or not you miss him is simple to tell, and that's due to your ability to feel.
