I tripped quite a bit when I was younger. But I did acid again the other weekend. And I have to say, it’s fucking weird.
Always make sure YOU are in the safest, most positive environment YOU can be in.
I agree.
But I’m weird in the sense that for the first few hours I like a positive, safe environment. But after it has taken full effect I become very unconcerned with my and others safety. Being too high on lsd reacts with whatever disordered character is in me and I get a bit spooky to say the least.
Used to take it, but it’s not for me these days.
At first it feels like you are slowly letting go of reality and you feel really small and insignificant. You are able to view life in great detail. Its like your thoughts stop being all self centred and you start considering life in microscopic detail. Finally leading to ego-death.
Then you go through a visual stage, where whatever you look at becomes exagerated and distorted beyond recognition, things become very bright and vivid and at times beautiful. All the time whilst you are floating through your new stream of conciounesses as described at the start. At this point youre at the height of your trip.
Then you SLOWLY start comming down and your ego starts rebuilding, you start comming back to reality but you still have the viusuals.......eventually the visuals stop and thats it finished.........this can last up to around 12 hours or more and can be scary at times.
You see colour and patterns. When I trip the colours are very warm (reds, oranges, yellows) and I see geometric shapes that sort of look like they're inhaling and exhaling. It's also very relaxing. Must be sure you're in a safe place first and are in a peaceful state of mind.
They don't call it a trip for nuthin'.
I haven't done LSD since the early 90s, and I've only done it twice.
We used to drop acid in the 69’s. It’s not good. You hallucinate then come down, sometimes hard, into a depression. Believe me you’re not missing anything.
In my experience it has felt incredibly good, overwhelming at times. But it's not something to be taken lightly.
