What does this dream mean?

I had a dream, so strange that I was sent to get some water in a bucket.Then at the gate I meet a mad man who harrasses me, I take it easy. Then after a while he starts to strangle me, I see my big brother(from the military, strong and huge in real life ) he comes over and says nothing, just looks at the mad man strangling me and does nothing, goes back and leave me with the man. Then suddenly the man takes up a match box to light up a ciggarette he then throws it to my laundry and burns up a Tshirt which is not mine, but of someone who hurt me in a major way, it's still hurting.
Next scene involves me crying over what happened to me then later on people start giving me money to console me.. But my friends are not concerned at all. What on earth could this possibly mean?
