PM would probably be most popular, and with a PM system you could piggyback the comment notification feature. Comment notification would work FAR better over a IIN PM system vs thru regular email.
Just make sure you include a block feature in case of harrassment.
Sex and/or age of the poster. Its annoying to not know the sex of the poster, especially when its relevent to the post.
There's already a pretty good list of categories.
I'm thinking just adding a free form option when posting a thread.
IIN, polls, free form.
As of it now, people will say things like; "I don't see the is it normal in that question."
With a free form posting option, it wouldn't be required and people would get used to it.
There could be an added link to I guess. Newest is it normal, newest polls, newest free form. Though I doubt that to be truly necessary.
More categories. There are interesting topics and possibilities that don't really fit this format. Topics that aren't "Is it normal"
I remember playing on forums where there where numerous prolific poetry threads.
I see people giving a twist to the IIN format to get their topic going, but it would be nice if no trickery was needed.
Personal Messaging, Grammar and Spell Chequer, Reply Notifications, Disclaimer Addition; {Stating next to the subject wether it is suitable for children}. Blockage on off coloured language. Database with combo boxes for the topics and answers and comments instead of the flat page selection set-up.
To be honest, all those look nice and promising, hard to pick. Can we get all of them? :P
Ability to edit a comment for a short time. It would be nice to correct typos and clean up unintended context errors for a short while.
Video and photos may be be too bourgeois.
Private messaging would be nice so long as it didn't invite stalking.
I think it would probably be easy, and only take minimal tweaking by the programmers to allow a jpg to be optionally added to a post. it would make certain posts in particular much more memorable and entertaining too!
well you guys could make it easier for us to change our unsernames instead of you guys doing it for us i'd like that
Private messaging, comment reply notification, and category idea. Those are a few I would like to see on. I dont think the picture upload is a good idea it might flood the comment section unless all the pictures are hiden and you click something like "un-hide" etc so that you can see them individualy without it flooding the comment section. I think an "advice" idea should have its own columb so that those looking for advice can do so in their own area while the people wanting to find more interesting stories that ask IIN questions go on the normal page for it.
I think you should be able to submit a picture beside the stories you post as an option due to some people posting stories saying about their appearance and how alot of commenters mention it would be easier to answer if they actualy had a picture to go by. Maybe even a debating columb.
Theres a couple of ideas for you.
Personal messaging system with ability to block/ be excluded if you want & more details on peoples comments such as date, time, age, sex & country as all these can sometimes make a big difference...
I want to see how we're trending on various post, see how much karma points we have in our profile, and how much we can spend of that day.
don't let underage kids register with this website either that would rid this place of fake/troll story's and take Facebook away and add wordpress to this website.
one more how do you guys feel about having to answer all of these questions from us all, is it overwhelming to you guys sometimes
and also i have read somewhere that the gold-members only get to see all that are not approved story's and deleted ones they do get to see, like a bunch of mine that was true and not fake and not a troll but they got deleted so did the golds get to see them all

and i would like to be able to delete all of the old messages from here on the site signed in with my name the comment messages instead of it being a long list and thats it.
You dont need an android app because this site doesnt need flash player..so i just come here with my smartphone nokia 5800 by the web
@TheManagment I mean like not show the screen name, for example instead of showing my screen name Track_Runner123, it will say private name. Like on the comments where you can choose to keep you comment annonymous.
We do not show the username of the author of stories or polls. So, I'm still not understanding the proposal?
I have been searching for an old comment of mine as reference to an other reply for the last 3 HOURS!! So...
We need a better search thingie, something like advanced search using keywords, user names maybe dates etc
The existing search is quite powerful. However, we've deliberately left usernames out of the searchable content to help prevent personal attacks.
Your "My Stuff" page has a listing of all your comments, this might be helpful.
We will also look into seeing if we can add a way to let you search "my stuff" only from the search page, which I think would help you out in this case too. Not sure if we can pull that off too easily or not though, but we'll look into it. Thanks.
I use the app most of the time, and I would like to have a place that shows all the stories I have commented on. That way I could go back to them without having to try and remember on my own.
I think their should be something where you ask a question and you chose to keep your screen name private but it will still notify you if you get a comment.
Comment reply notifications is a good idea, it's hard to see when people have responded to your comments at the moment

It would be helpful to know when someone has replied to any of your posts.
It would also be cool to add a WYSIWYG control panel for members which includes the ability to use interesting fonts, create active hyperlinks, embed videos, and display images.
You could create a body count display adjacent to the Member Chat link so that if there are "O" people chatting, one need not click the link until more people choose to enter.
Also, there should be some buffer for Member Chat conversations. What I mean is that those who lurk outside the chat room "proper" in the "lobby" are disallowed from reading the chat text that has scrolled or is being generated by active chatters. In order to read what is going on, one must actively enter the chat room and continuously type text or be booted from the chat app after "X" amount of idle time.
