If I was simply someone's idea of a person and had no life of my own. So, if someone has written some kind of script, according to which I exist and live without really living. I feel trapped.
Everyone is a figment of someone else's imagination. I'm a wacky charicter that gives you a fetch quest that takes 30 hours to complete or you can bribe me and it will auto complete.
Can you buy my clutter from me? I know you exclusively deal in smithing supplies, but I have several pairs of boots for you to take and a collection of pilfered silver cutlery.
Oh of course I'll take those alchemy ingredients that you picked right from the front lawn.
Actually a good set of boots were a pretty good barter item. Since you know theres no cars and horses and carriages were for the wealthy. So your boots would actually be used and be eventually deteriorated. Also good boots were expensive. The first things looted from soldiers corpse for most of history was thier boots.
Of course silver anything always had value.
In my opinion earth is a reality show for aliens and they can pay to kill one of us.
I used to have a different thought as a kid; I would wonder if someday I would wake up and realize my entire life was a dream, and everything I knew didn't actually exist.
At this point, I just accept life for what it is in the present and live it. Life is too short to worry excessively about things you have no control over, or possibilities you don't know for sure exist.

Now the ability that we know more than that (that we are not just a brain floating in a jar with someone feeding us information and feelings)... is a lot more difficult, and I did not study philosophy enough to know if there really were good proofs on that.
Something else to know: The key attribute of being a human is the ability to choose what we will be like in the future and pursue it. Often to gain it as well.
