What is better? classical or modern art?

What art do you think is better? I'd define modern art as anything made after WW1, and classical as anything before WW1.

    I like art that speaks to me more than art from a certain time period.

    I could never be called an art offionado but the classic stuff is more appealing for some reason.

    Modern art is very minimalistic and doesn’t seem to have much skill or effort put into it as would a classical piece.

    A lot of Modern art doesn't look like it took much skill or time. It's looks like something could make sometimes. I can't speak for all day because I'm not much of an art guy, but the modern art I do see by happenstance is quite ugly and pathetic in my opinion....
