And what's annoying is the banks will use the word 'crypto' as a buzzword to entice people to accept their CBDC, to make people think it's modern and more convenient. But CBDCs go against everything that crypto was created for. It was literally created as a "Fuck you" to the banks, because of the banks causing the 2008 recession. It was created as a way to liberate people from the stranglehold the banks have on them, but now it'll just be used by the banks to imprison people even more. And what's really annoying is that people are so ignorant of all this that they'll probably think "Oh, the banks are using crypto now, so I guess crypto isn't stupid after all".

Yeah, no. We’re definitely fucked. Hopefully society comes to an end soon. Or maybe Mexico will take back the south. Mexico seems to be doing really well.

Doesnt it say in revelation in the end of time there will be no cash? Every purchase has to go through your right hand (cell phone). Idk shit sketches me out

To be fair human trading has a long ass history. Make a vague enough statement on how you trade and its guaranteed to come true at some point. For fucks sake NFTs were a big thing which were just arbitrary pictures given value (knew that was going to implode violently)

At the end of time... who's time? Cash is a medium for value, its entirely possible to go cashless as another form valuable exchange can take precedence. As we do with our credit cards because we trust that 1$ is 1$.

As for the future it could be determined that if you wanted you could chose to own nothing and live as a concrete appartment hermit, living on a subsidy till you die. Just getting the bare necessities to survive. That wont be fun but it could be the alternative to being in the streets, ironically being cheaper for a goverment to fund than trying to find your silly ass a job.

Or its simpler. Which tends to be the policy that goes forward.

I dont like carrying cash. I could get mugged. A guy who mugs me will just get a card that voided.

Then dont carry cash you can carry a debit card. Then you can be tracked all you like. If you were a "libertarian" i wouldnt think you would want to force ppl to have their stuff tracked and not be allowed cash or privacy.

Just because I'm libertarian doesnt mean I live under a rock and is completly obtuse to any form of advancement.

Those companies have the right to see who owes what. They are keeping track of their money. If you want to use cash or slivers of a silver bar fine. Just that people willing to accept that exchange will get smaller and smaller because using your debit and credit card is just simpler transaction wise.

Same reason we dont use coins as Bill's. Coins are heavy as shit. Coins are inconvenient. Paper money has lived out its usefulness. And let's be honest it's not like those Bill's dont have serial numbers either.

You are the one who clicks "agree" the goverment isnt twisting your arm to get it or go to jail. You are willingly accepting that burden. You are free to accept that as a transaction, some freedom lost for gaining a more convient way to store your money.

You trade your freedom all the god damn time, that's life.
