What is it with streaming services?

What the hell is going on with all these streaming services popping up??? Is this the aftermath of getting rid of net neutrality? Not only do I not want to pay for 15 different services, why are they charging me more for premium access?! WTF is the point of subscribing to Disney+ if they’re gonna charge me for every new movie released! Same thing with prime video! Half the movies I want to watch are extra money. Fuck that shit.

    i dont get how this is working out for the companys?? like who the fuck is paying extra money on a movie if you already paid for the streaming service?

    i pay for netflix but havent used it much lately and there aint much new bein added that interests me

    whatever i do watch i screen record so i got a digital copy

    ima prolly start with the pirate stuff if shit continues

      I also subscribed to Netflix just to see what all of the hype was about, but wasn't really pleased with their selection. Most of it seems to be their own shows and movies that don't really seem that entertaining.

      I have netflix, but thats all I use. My mother has prime, Disney, and cbs which is now apparently paramount+. Its so stupid and I usually just watch anime for free anyway.

    The companies that provide these streaming services want money and it seems like people are willing to waste money to pay. Shit like this makes me glad I haven't watched TV in a few years. XD

    I was just thinking about this the other day! I'm pretty set in my ways and am perfectly fine with my cable, DVDs, and VHS tapes. I haven't tried streaming but am not sure I like the idea of subscribing to a bunch of different streaming services if I'm only interested in one or two things from each.

    A few things I've been kind of interested in seeing lately are going to be released exclusively to streaming services and I've gotten tons of commercials trying to shove streaming services down my throat, and it's pretty frustrating. I've heard streamed stuff is easily pirated, so I wonder how long it will last, since I think it's going to be hard to find a way to completely eliminate that issue.

      Yeah. Even with all the DMCA takedowns and notices from ISPs, piracy is impossible to shut down because of VPNs or private/group sharing of streamed content.
