Yep, gotta love the Rock Opera genre.

I freaking love Stairway to Heaven myself, because I just wanna go in the forest looking for faeries and trolls.

It always reminds me of that famous scene from waynes world when they are all in the car driving to the donut shop rocking out to queen.

    The Boss--Jungleland.
Btw, Jimi Hendrix didn't write "All Along The Watchtower", Bob Dylan did.

    • I am aware of that , but the question is not who WROTE the greatest Rock 'n Roll song , it is WHAT is the greatest Rock 'n Roll song (song - not lyrics) I dont want a copyright discussion.

But I do appreciate your choice of Jungleland, thats awesome poetry

"I do not do alts. I wouldn't make one to come back if banned, either. That is for fucking LOSERS.
A few fucking loser assholes with multiple accounts are terrorizing IIN. If those losers really had any power, I'd have been booted years ago. I at least, have enough self respect not to return to where I am not wanted. They apparently have nothing else, so they keep coming back where they aren't wanted or welcome."

    • Southern Man is a great tune but I know radio stations that would play Stairway to Heaven anytime somebody who was young died....so trust me Southern man doesnt even come close to Stairway to Heaven...thats like saying vanilla ice cream is equal to Christianity

Disagree. And "... Don't forget what the Good Book says ... Southern Man ..." Followed by Neil's totally awesome kick-ass guitar solo. Okay?

Okay. But we got a lot of old school replying to this post. So I'll withdraw Southern Man with (are you ready?) Cowgirl in the sand. Or even better: Hey, hey, my, my. from Rust never sleeps. Vintage Neil Young, dude. It don't get better than that!

            • You are talking to a serious Neil Young fan and he is definitely one of the greats and I love the album Rust Never Sleeps...they are awesome songs...Thrasher, Pocahontas, ....but unfortunately none of the songs make the Greatest list...I might entertain CSNY...Ohio...but even that doesnt quite get there

              Comment Hidden ( show )
  • There are a few honorable mentions...like Hotel California by the Eagles...LA Woman by the Doors...Paranoid by Black Sabbath...but one that I left out that should DEFINITEL be on the list is Let It Be by the Beatles
