What is the main cause for food price increase?

The poor people could not afford food, so the government added a boost of temp food stamps and then cut them off from the boost and lowered their stamps to help pay the increase back if you don't die from starvation!!

The stupid war gave corporations a pass to raise the prices of everything and blame it on the war. They did it with the coronavirus, they did it with the war. Let's see what's next.

Hopefully terminal cancer for those blowing this bubble.

Supply chain. Logistics. Basic shit that could of been solved by decent leadership.

Remember when cargo ships had to do loops in order to not crowd ports because they weren't getting offloaded? Remember when farmers were getting paid to burn their crops? Remember the trucker shortage that still is ongoing? Remember the fertilizer shortage that is about to hit?

As for the trucker situation. What was the solution? Add +1 hour of legal drive time. It's not like the reason why we can only drive for 10 hours was for safety reasons... oh wait.

Shit didnt come out of nowhere. I suggest you look for a turkey now and freeze it for november.

Unfortunately, the main supply chain issues were created by the actions of many different leaders in many different countries during the start of the pandemic.

No one country could have fixed the resulting mess - and getting all the different countries to work together... is a very rare thing.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine and the resulting sanctions on Russia made the energy cost go up, which affects all transportation cost and cost of things made out of petroleum (plastics and a large number of chemicals).

You could always lift the sanctions

You could always stop invading a sovereign country. Seeing how that's going I think it's better for russia to dip.

I mean it's for your own benefit. You know how eager the us is to test out its toys. Sure a couple hundred billion dollars is tight for our wallets. But you guys are... what's the opposite of a blitzkrieg?

That special military operation was special alright.

Sure sure you wanna say it's unfair and that you are fighting nato. But take this into consideration. You arent fighting nato. You are fighting an army that just learned how to use nato tools with a steady supply. Imagine what the actual guys who invented the damned things could do.

I suppose that's why your media brings up nuking major cities like North Korea rambles on about.

Could be many factors but what I know for sure is when gas prices increases especially significantly all of a sudden then food prices will always increase because transportation and production of food becomes more costly and they need to compensate for that
