I'm a big fan of both science and history, especially history, which would probably explain why i like older things a lot. also, i feels its important to preserve history, to record what has been done in the past, and so we can improve for the future. technically, everything you learn is history, cause the knowledge was already learned, and now is being taught to someone else.
Biology . everyone knows what is in there cars and their computers ..but very few know what is in their bodies..how many bones or how much their head weighs or how a cell exists or operates and what its functions are.
The physicians of old purposely made it a mystery by naming everything in a mixture of Greek and Latin so that noboy would understand their power.
It has been written in simple English for all to see....and to understand...and to enable you to know your complaints....but....you still pay the quacks to tell you.
You know how to cure your cars and your laptops...but not yourselves.
I love the workings of the body...reading about them is more exciting than a thriller or a romantic novel or a historic moment....it is nothing short of amazing how each little cell knows what to do and how to do it and how bad it can be when it goes rogue.
I would have said Physics (because I got to do special options in nuclear physics and astrophysics), but I hated electromagnetism. So instead I'm going to say Geology, which I loved universally.
