My attention span isn't long enough for reading novels, so I generally stick to factual books.
Sci fi never fails to amaze me, along with quest/fantasy genres, and action. Too bad I've yet to find a story where those interlock.
A book with fantasy, humor, and romance! ...Like a unicorn dating a zucchini! ...What? Zucchinis are real?! Really? Oh, alright!
I enjoy reading horror, fictional and classic books. But my favourite writer is by far John Saul. His books have everything you need: horror, crimes, psichology and makes your inner self develop in a good way.:)
Sci-fi, fantasy, adult fiction, graphic novels/magna (I am not particular about the genre. It can be just about anything and I will read but, I only if the plot interests me.), very rarely non-fiction. I really like photography/art books and books on astronomy and nature. (Etc.)
I absolutely LOVE dystopian novels for some reason. I read many other things of course, but that is my favorite type of books.
My favorite book series is fantasy though. Full of dragons and elves and magic. (Eragon and the following books)
Aside from that, my second favorite book series is much more realistic and is like a science/action/mystery adventure (James Rollins Sigma Force books)
But in general, dystopia all the way.
No fantasy... well, I guess I'll just go with funny (that could fit into any genre).
I like good coming of age stories, whatever that means to the author. But I don't like it when stories have romance in it, rarely does it feel not forced. Favorite book at the moment is "The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Goth girl" by Barry Lyga.
Horror, Stephen king, h.p lovecraft, that's what I mainly read but my two favorite books are just general fiction
Shadows fall my Simon r green

A boys life by Robert mccammon
