What is your favourite food that your guardian used to make for you?

Just a simple conversation starter but what was your favourite child hood food and does it have a special memory attached to it?

A hard question, although it’s not the most advanced meal my dad makes a mean chicken tikka masala, in terms of desserts probably epiphany cake.

Living with my family has a billion downsides but at least I still get to eat my dad’s cooking. I’m trying to learn his secrets but as the kitchen is the designated “row and drama room” there’s not much opportunity to.

By guardian, do you mean a relative?
My grandmoter used to make these cookies I loved for me, no idea what they're called unfortunately I only know what they look like. Absolutely delicious. She was lovely.

My grandfather was very charismatic the whole town knew him and about once a year he'd do a cookout on his ranch and hundreds of people would come. He had these giant smokers and he'd smoke shrimp, corn, potatos. It was really good and fun. Its the most food to this day ive seen being prepared together

That sounds super fun. My Nana used to do something similar but she would make a whole pig over a fire

My Italian grandmother would make me pastina, which are small round pasta, with a little chicken broth and a little Parmesan cheese or butter on top.
