The U.S. government is definitely rife with corruption, but so are most governments in the world. Despite everything wrong with the systems in place here I still feel like we are better off than places like the UK, China, or the middle east.
Criticizing the Russian government = Go directly to gulag without passing go.

Such a strong dislike of it that I'm currently renewing my Visa and passport in order to begin the process of immigration.
The US Government is corrupt as all fuck, but what makes the US livable is that you can truly make something out of nothing. you can infact work your way frm the bottom to the top. with enough determination, willpower, and half a brain, almost anyone can become the best of themselves in the US. Cant say the same for people living in N. Korea or Cuba.
I actually left 'my' country at the age of 8. The Government of my current country of residence is rubbish and don't give a stuff about its citizens.
they spend too much time & effort tryin to convince everyone how important they are
I feel like the USA is slowly turning into a nanny state government like the countries in Europe. I think we grew up in a time when people think big government is always supposed to come to the rescue but just over 100 years ago there was no federal income tax in the USA and we were already the worlds super power and doing well. The government has fucked up everything including healthcare and we always blame it on capitalism. Its usually unintended fallouts to regulations and then regulations to fix those regulations. Like in the 40s when the executive order came out not allowing businesses to increase wages. So to compete for workers they created health insurance. Fast forward oboma care is here to save it and unintentionally making it more expensive.
