What it takes to be a man

I had to realise again and again that no matter if you have a full beard, a deep voice and a distinct bulge in your trousers, you can still be asked if you are a man. Apart from the fact that you obviously display male behaviour.
I think that's stupid. To each his own, but you don't have to ask everyone what they are now to avoid misgendering. Or am I in the wrong?

What makes a man these days?
Do you have to look like the men in department stores' magazines and behave like monkeys?

    • Yes, I am sure. I just don't understand this nonsense, so I get upset because I'm just fed up with it.

No need to get upset over nonsense. Call people whatever pronoun comes to mind when you look at them. If the dude has like a pink beard with glitter then maybe he’d be the type to get mad but 99.9% of the time no one gives a shit about alternative genders.

Don't be around people where this is an issue.

    • Easier said than done, but it definitely makes sense. Because of my job, I currently live in a city full of students who smoke pot, and some of them pay extreme attention to this. I'll probably move soon....

Stop paying attention to many of the comments from people.

Only pay attention to those who are positive about life and encourage you to work on achieving your dreams and goals.

Not specifically; but your choice if you wish too, and your choice if you do not wish too.

There are positive people who build people up in all communities and all cultures around the world.

The best coaches are like that - and get peak development and peak performances out of the people under them.

Some religious leaders are like that. Some teachers, and all kinds of people in the community can be that.

The most long term profitable business owners tend to be that way as well.

Look around any community and anyone can find these people...

Find one that will support you doing better in life and encourage you along the way.

I didn't make this idea up. I'm just repeating it: It can be found in the Bible; and there are dozens of what are considered "classic" self help or self improvement books that advise you about this.

Yeah? Well guess what? The bible is bullshit. Sorry, but i'm not gonna go by a book that isn't even true. And wow, you really love being irrelevant. Forgot to mention, this post isn't related to dreams and goals. Stay relevant, would you?
