What makes u atheist?

What makes you become atheist?

I'm non religious because I was born with disability also handicap. I was once Christian as little boy, I see churches, bible books, the only thing I broke free from religion.

It's my love ones you know, I never got to see them In long time. Always thought they are in home where they come from in spiritual world. The only thing bothers me is that " what if we were all sleeping like the rest of world to this day" ( third eye is closed) The book bible feels like children book fairy tale with bad grammar. It's just need more fixing to it, To tell you something, Life is strange in many ways.

" no one has come back from dead to tell you the truth and this world can be full with bunch lies so one of people won't believe u" no one can't prove God exist.

If that's true then Aren't you awake?

If the all powerful, all knowing, loving gawd that people believe in really existed, do you think it would allow all it's children to suffer so much? The dichotomy is unacceptable.

Simple common sense, rational thinking, and intelligence.
Qualities that are incredibly difficult to find in our disgusting and twisted society.

Honestly, I don't think a person should be an atheist because "Bad stuff happened."
Its not that I don't think your struggles are severe, it's got nothing to do with that really. I just think it's not very good reasoning to go with. The religious already have explanations as to why bad stuff happens. Sure they're not very good reasons but honestly Atheism wouldn't answer that any better. It's not what Atheism is about, it's not a question that Atheism is concerned with.

It's like you chose to answer a question with a completely different question.
"Do you believe in god?" "No. Why do bad things happen?"

A good reason to be Atheist is a little bit more...robust.
I'm an atheist because....there is no proof that a god exists. There are hundreds of gods and each one is hand crafted to fit the land it comes from and the understanding of the people that came up with it. The concept of a god is pointless, it's loosely defined and has many meanings depending on who you ask. The benevolent gods act like humans, the abstract gods act like nature and neither have a reason to exist. A god's word always comes from a human's mouth, or hand if they decide to write it down. I'm an atheist because there are so many gods and none particularly line up, you can't make the excuse that they all represent the same entity because they are so incredibly different. I'm an atheist because gods don't make any sense how can something exist, be separate from the physical world, act on the physical world, and leave no trace behind constantly breaking the laws of physics while leaving 0 traces in doing so.

Listen to religious arguments as to why they think there is a god. Put those reasons next to reason. Is it reasonable to believe what they say? Does that line up with reality? Does it take a suspension of disbelief before you even consider it? Line that up next to reasons why people don't believe in god like the ones I gave from my personal opinions. I'm at peace with knowing that I am the result of nature. Flaws and misfortunes included. I can sympathize with you, I have faced my own misfortunes in life, I know about living with a physical disability, I can sympathize with loss and struggle but that's not the reason why I'm an atheist. I'm an atheist because it makes the most sense logically. Misfortune's got nothing to do with it. I do really well for myself if I do say so myself and it helps to know that I fight on with my own strength and not through the will and power of some supernatural being.
