What's happening to the men in our society?

I talk to my friends all the time about my emotions and that. I really think this idea that men don't talk about stuff like that is generally a myth for the majority of men.

I’m not sure why you had an issue with them bringing up the suicide rate statistic. It’s absolutely true that a large part of it IS in fact the expectation of being masculine.

For instance, men are far less likely to seek counseling or mental help and a common response as to why this is is due to excuses like “manning up” or fearing that it isn’t masculine to do so. Your suggestion that men shouldn’t show emotions as much and just “be stronger” will only bottle their feelings up more and deteriorate their health (which leads to things like substance abuse and eventually, suicide).

While I think there’s truth to the idea that men aren’t coddled as much as women, men still need to improve on expressing their emotions if they want to improve health-wise. I found a statistic showing that while over 75% of men have suffered from some form of anxiety, depression or stress, 40% of them have never spoken to anyone about it. That’s very alarming and I don’t think men get any stronger doing that. I think a part of strength is recognizing when you need help, and many men just don’t do that out of fear of being seen as a pussy.

I think feminism has been terrible for the low status guys. If you arent good looking and dont have money its hard for you to find a good wife or to even find a chic to hookup with. Women hook up with the top 5% of guys on all these apps. If you're good looking and tall you get swipes all day as a man. If you arent you are shit out of luck. So you get a huge number of guys who cant get laid and then they have to turn into liberal fucks hoping the girls will fuck them if they say what girls want to hear.

I was reading an article about incels and how their anger stems from rejection from women, sometimes women online. This leads them to develop a sense of resentment towards other men who are having sex and successful with courting a woman. Because of the constant rejection, the anger is so terrible that some men develop hatred towards certain women and gravitate towards violence. This can lead to mass attacks. This is why self esteem is integral to a happy life.

I can see the problem. The young men today have no ambition compared to the women. We hire them and after a few days they just stop coming to work, no notice. And then they come in for their last check and just say they have another job.

These comments are fucking crazy. These are just random people from the internet, y’all. You’re not changing anybody's mind.

Simps and incels are the same thing basically, as a simp is the male version of a pick me girl and nobody likes those people hence they "got no game" so to speak. The other type of men are the usual misogynistic retards who are in love with themselves, take pictures at the gym everyday and calls themselves "alphas" which is just laughable and pathetic to even use terms like that. At least for grownass men.
Hopefully it keeps getting worse though. Then the lesbians can finally take over. And yes I do support the human race possibly dying if that were to happen. I am in favour of alien invasion.

How you define weak is up to you.

Depends what you mean by coddling. A lot of women are expected to become mothers at much younger ages than men become parents. Then these young women, sometimes girls, are expected to carry the entire household l. This messes with their personal lives as they have no time to meet with friends. Because they care for several children and their husband. These women have no social network outside of their own family. It can get very tough for a woman and very individualistic. Because she has to maintain her calm mood and not show any tears in front of the kids. Her husband still meets more people when at work, while she stays home and lacks social contacts. So she gets zero support from friends who drift away, and she has to deal with her problems on her own. She doesn't want to burden her husband with extra problems because he returns tired from work. You might think it's an easy life staying home not going to work, but in a poor family with several kids, and no modern home appliances, women still to this day have to work very hard in the home. Imagine having to wash all the family clothes by hand because you have no washing machine. Women sew clothes for their entire families. Most women are not pampered Barbie dolls. Most women in the world live in these conditions.

What I'm trying to say is, any human, woman or man, when they an adult, they have to toughen up and nobody coddles them and nobody gives a crap how you feel. That is life. Everyone has it tough. In most cultures around the world, women grow up faster than men. That means women get coddled a lot less than men. Just saying your perception is based on your limited experiences as a middle class man in a modern country with access to modern technology. Don't just assume life is the same everywhere for everyone. Don't judge all women based on that one privileged white girl who turned you down in highschool. No offense. Just the vibe you give off with this comment.

There's multiple causes of men losing their masculinity, none of which have anything to do with "toxic masculinity" or "gender roles" or "traditionalism". It's about how boys are treated in the current society.

First, they're being sort of auto-sheltered from a lot of things that they didn't used to be. By "auto-sheltered", I mean there's sheltering going on that the parents have no control over. Toys are sanitized. Cartoons are sanitized. Schools are sanitized. And most of their preferred entertainment is done indoors so they don't even get that exposure.

Second, we're feeding them worse. Food hasn't gotten better, and fad diets aren't helping. If the kid isn't eating an authentic home-made meal, he's getting gipped.

Third, they're (possibly) being over-medicated. We hand out pills for things we didn't used to, and since we want to avoid false negatives, we hand them out fairly easily. Now, with the trans thing taking over, they can request even more medication with even less oversight (though that's obviously not being done everywhere).

Fourth, the internet has gotten worse, but their exposure to the internet has gone up. Suddenly, the kids are exposed not only to weird shit that warps their view of reality, but to "accepted" shit that even further warps their view of reality (like social media, blogs, offbeat news sites... mainstream news sites). They get all these ideas, but they don't feel like they can share them with anybody, so they draw back into themselves and become out of touch. If it was porn, they probably become incels. If it was anything else, they probably become simps.

Lastly, and this is related to the first point, they're not getting enough exercise. Exercise is testosterone. If they don't play *physically*, and they don't work out, their hormones are going to end up out of whack. With no other issues, they would just simply be out of shape, not necessarily more feminine, but as I'm theorizing here, there are heaps of other issues.
