Though a lot of these errors are very annoying, I can forgive most of them, especially seeing as we're all humans and make mistakes from time to time. What really annoys me, though, is text speak. Especially if you're not in a hurry and typing from an easy medium such as a computer keyboard, typing in text speak just gives off the feeling that you're too lazy and/or immature to take the time for your readers to understand what you're trying to convey.

A few typos and grammar mistakes are acceptable with me, because even I make mistakes from time to time (I'm not perfect), but what I CAN NOT forgive is when people type horribly on purpose.

Example: " tPyINg LiKE tHiS." "Like This Too" " Or+Even+Like+This."

And yes, I've seen all of those before. I just don't understand it, typing like that just makes it more difficult for you, not easier.

A combination of text speak, lack of punctuation, and misspellings.

Lack of paragraphs. The other stuff annoys me, but the difference is that I'm still willing to read the other stuff.

For example, if someone types a full paragraph with no capitalization, punctuation, misplaced homophones, and misspellings I'll go, "wow, this dude is stupid." Even with spammy text-speak, I'll read it (I'm of the younger generation, I can actually read it fine).

If someone types an entire page of text perfectly but doesn't split the paragraphs or indent at all, I actually get angry. Seriously, you couldn't bother to press the Enter key? Not even once? I have to read this huge brick of text because you're a lazy moron? Screw that and screw you.

Run-on sentences are the worst. Lack of paragraphs gets second place.

I make terrible mistakes, and I am very good at spelling and minored in English in college. I have four degrees. I also have MS and Lupus. I see double,my hands cramp and I spend and hour to write a comment. I can't see that good any more. So I got Dragon to dictate, but it can't tell which there your saying and it miss writes most of what you say.I see my kids type so fast and I use to transcribe for doctors I am 54 and the keys feel different so my hands lay wrong on the key board. I have a publish book, I was a great writer. Now things look like a blur and glasses do not help seeing double.I help people with what I can as a Naturo-pathic Practitioner. Should I stop helping people and give up because I make some punctuation errors? See I have many red lines I can see,17 to go back and fix. I bet you still find errors. I graduated from every degree with a 4.0, had SAT's near perfect. I'm sick but I do make errors. As long as my info is okay to my patients and I can help, I keep going. Should I give up because I cant tell a period from a comma? They look alike and that's if I can see them. My new computer ,doesn't have a line between left and right clicking and so I erase things that took hours to write. I often see I leave off last letters. I don't know why,if I cant feel it or I don't hit them hard enough. Would you give up?

Not using paragraphs on a long piece of text really makes something unreadable. I think anything else is really easy to read past and doesn't annoy me at all.

I'm torn between text speak and lack of punctuation.

Hmm. . . Text speak because it's intentional.
