SHOULD the woman? Strange choice of phrasing - it's not obligatory to sleep on one side or the other for anyone. There might be trends related to gender but I'm pretty sure that's an instinctive decision, not something the man and woman have consciously considered and discussed with each other before deciding as a couple the acceptable arrangement :/

I sleep on the right, away from the door, but always give up my spot when there's a woman in there with me. I don't know what I'd do if I had a threesome or a man in bed with me.

A proper gentleman will always walk on a path where his lady friend is furthest from the curb.
Assuming that you are both walking in the direction of the same side the traffic is also traveling, the woman (in the US) would be on the man's right. Thus protecting her from the traffic.
This also applies to the male driver and lady passenger, where again 'she' would be on his right side.

Therefore, I would sway towards the woman sleeping on the right side of the bed (again in the US).

Now, there is also another concern.
Generally most people are right handed. Therefore having increased strength in the right arm. Plus usually using their hand for even basic toiletry functions.

Since that is the case, the female should in actual fact, ALWAYS be on the man's left, allowing him to use his strong arm to protect her, whilst still holding onto her with his left (where she is positioned)

I conclude that the US are driving on the wrong side of the road. And that a gentleman's lady should always be on his left (the more tender (and clean) side). Allowing the woman to be:
Held safely by his clean tender hand.
Is constant in all places where driving on the LEFT is correct.
Able to continue to use his strong arm to protect her, without letting her go.
Plus, able to turn towards her in bed and use his free right hand to pleasure her, with the best of his ability in his right hand only (whilst his less controlled/ability left hand is moved away)

The US has stuffed up driving skills and is causing grief to all women (except for lefties of course)
THIS is why the US is in such a mess. And possibly why you see so many 'left of center' men with transgender issues. Once you reach the driving age please seek help, or move to a NORMAL country, where the women are fully taken care of.

Oh, my answer is women on left!

Lol, I just went on and on.
But re-reading it, it does sound like a valid strong argument for 'which side of the bed should the woman sleep on'

        Left.

I sleep on the right, closest to the door. I insist on sleeping closer to the door, which used to be the left side.

    Wherever she wants to.

In my family, my mother sleeps on whichever side of the bed is closest to the door. Since she's had a few kids, she has a weak bladder, so it's easier for her not to have to circle the bed if she needs the bathroom. That's not to say that's the only way it can be done, it's just the way it's done in my family

I have to sleep with my back against a wall facing the door. So I sleep on the right side of my bed which is placed in a corner with my back against the wall. So the woman can sleep on the left side nearest the door.

The left side. This way she can be baby spoon and sleep on her left side. In some cases it is easier on your heart to sleep on the left side.

But sleep wherever your comfortable. I do like to change it up every now and then.

I don't know what 'she can be baby spoon' means exactly? But I agree with you about the heart.

I still say (and agree) that the woman should sleep on the left.

Baby spoon is the person in front, or the inside of the cuddle curl when two people are laying together on their sides.

Also, because of the heart thing, it is often more comfortable for pregnant women to sleep on their left side. So you can believe you are protecting the woman, but I say nature is forcing you to accommodate their needs. Because if she isn't comfortable, you'll need to worry more about your own protection than hers. :P

Oh spooning, actually strangely I never understood the term, I want to spoon you. But it now makes obvious sense. That is so strange, maybe we never really used the term here that much. Although I have heard of 'spooning', I just thought it meant trying to get with or something. Live and learn.
That's it, you're getting a thumbs up now, no, no argument I'm hitting the thumbs up at the end of this message. You can be grateful since I rarely thumb up or down. But I'm making an extreme exception here, for today I learned something, and now I am better for it. Next time I'm in bed with a woman I'm going to use the term spoon (maybe even, baby spoon) I'll bring it up somehow ;)

Interestingly enough, that's not the original meaning of spooning. Spooning originally meant frivolous flirting.

Oh, that's what I originally thought the meaning was.
Anyway, I can now see how its the positioning of how two spoons are placed together.

My boyfriend has a habit of sleeping on his right side, and he also snores very loudly so he has to sleep facing away from me. So, he always sleeps on that side no matter where the door is situated. Plus, I get up a lot in the night so I should be nearer to the door.
