What was your favorite childhood toy?

When I was younger, my nana gave me a stuffed grey cat as a birthday gift. I used to take my stuffed cat everywhere with me, but one day, the cat is so old and ugly that I stopped playing with it. I still have that cat in my closet.

Plastic plants and animals. I’d use rocks I found outside when I played too. I never had a favorite toy as a kid, maybe my stuffed animal squirrel but I wasn’t really that attached to it from my memory.

I'm a 90s kid, so obviously vehicles. Ever since I was a baby I was mesmerized by pretty much every vehicle, so I had loads of toy cars, trucks, 2 train sets, airplane models, lego ships, lego submarine, farming vehicles, construction vehicles, space shuttle model, Apollo 11 rocket with lander and foldable moon buggy...

My room was like a lego vehicle construction/ storage facility.

I've kept most of my toys in good condition and even have some of them on display in my house. Stuff like 1:18 diecast model cars, the Apollo 11 rocket and a lego aircraft carrier. Some of my toys are now considered collector stuff.

I prefer dogs, cats, and books. Maybe a stuffed animal? I dunno.

Mostly electronics like a Super Nintendo and a toy camcorder that recorded video in black and white in the 1990's. But my favorite was a train set, I love trains!

Train sets are awesome. When I was still very young in the early 90s, business partner of my dad bought me a Marklin (collector quality) train set as a gift and a way to schmooze to my dad. The attention to detail was amazing. The trains were basically real trains shrunk down, with every last hose, writing, warning sign in perfect detail.

Later my dad bought me another Marklin set and he had the idea of turning a part of the basement into a train track display case, but those trains are stupid expensive and also my dad didn't really have the time for this and by the time he actually had more free time, I was already glued to the computer playing GTA 3 and had no interest in physical toys anymore.

But now, almost 30 years later... those 2 train sets are collector's items with the locomotives alone worth almost 3000 Euro. I do plan to build a display case in our basement one day and keep them there as show pieces. These model trains are far too old and expensive to be used as toys.

I had a blanket called Blankey. He was a male blanket. (🤷🏾‍♀️) He went missing went I was visiting my sister at college. She does this “act” bc she’s a drama nerd about “Blankey sleeping with the fishes” while she fake smokes cigarettes. It would make me cry like a bitch. I was probably 12 at the time, which I can agree it may have been time to give up the blanket.
