Climbing trees, making mud pies, catching tadpoles and lightning bugs, going to the beach, rearranging my room..
This is pretty much my list. Except we didn't have lightening bugs, and I went to the creek, not a beach.
I'd like to add riding bikes and building forts to my list.
One of my earliest memories was when I was about 5 years old and there was a big gnarly tree in the backyard and me and my mom and brother were out back at night with jars to catch the lightning bugs. Then release them of course. That's also where I was so amazed at the size of a praying mantis on the garage door. It was beautiful.
Forts!!! Yesss!!!!!!! I still love forts.
my favorite thing to do as a child was to flip our huge, plastic doll house over, and to sit inside of it and pretend it was a ship on the ocean. my sister and I would use random things as paddles and scream that the waves were going to take our ship under. we'd pretend it was storming and that we were lost at sea. it was the best.
Taking ballet classes, reading about dinosaurs, watching cartoons like Tom & Jerry, picking up grasshoppers and crickets, shopping with my mom, playing Barbie adventures, going on long bike rides with my dad, dancing, singing, playing with my dog, playing with my other pets, going to the library, playing on the monkey bars, swinging on the swings, playing with my sister and cousin all summer, reading books about monsters, day dreaming, listening to music, trying to do gymnastics, etc.
Playing with my imaginary friends, playing with my plush toys, singing, swinging on the swing set, feeding stray cats, playing in the mud, digging holes, playing in the sandbox, reading, reading and MORE READING
Reading, reading, reading; riding my pony as far away from home as I could get; catching tadpoles; building cubby houses; climbing trees; hiding out in the tree house my parents couldn't get up to; knitting; sewing; drawing; writing
Not hard to guess we didn't have TV in Australia until I was 10 and it took my parents quite a few more years to get one.
I started a a gang (I didn't know it was called that) when I was 7, we called it a "club". We beat the crap out of people in rival "clubs" for trying to kick us out of our spot on the lake. My favorite activity was siting on top of the playground after the dust had settled, and over seeing my "club" members. \(._.)/
I don't do that kind of stuff anymore, now I answer questions on IIN.... man how times change.
I was on a gang myself. Even trafficked hash and possessed a fire gun(that I literally never used), those days are long behind me, I don't have tattoos and never been arrested. I'm a law abiding citizen now. A true gentleman I believe.
that's like when I was a kid, our area used to fight with the kids from the next estate. we used to throw bricks at each other and shit even tho we were all about 8 and younger haha
Depending on how young, playing middle earth with a friend and some plastic swords or skating, they were only a year apart haha
Up until 6th grade, I played with barbies and other dolls. Then I descovered fun in digging up worms in my backyard and watching them fry in the sun on our driveway.
Riding my bike on dirt tracks, catching frogs, smoking other people's discarded cigarette butts, playing drums, riding my skateboard, playing 'doctors and nurses' and when I was really young having sex with my teddy bear.
i never realized how much fun childhood was until now, i had a thing for cars and lego then.
Sewing & other crafts, playing with beanie babies and making stuff for them (clothes, houses, etc.)
What age are we talking here? It depends on what age you're asking about.
twister teasing my brother and ruining my bossy girl cousins house game ( they always made me the dog)legos legos legos getting creamed by mom at Mario brothers pillow fort pretending I was a cool rock star while watching van halen and prince on mtv.... swimming and ending up in a trash can while trying to learn how to skate
Reenacting domestic violence and sexual drama with my stuffed animals in my blanket fort in my room to barbie music. True story.
up to the age of about 9, I enjoyed fighting and throwing stones at cars and stupid stuff like that. after that it was football (soccer) and from 13 onwards it was drinking and drugs. now I'm 21 I don't really drink much anymore or do any activities I just drift around
Venturing through the wood, climbing trees, mixing liquids and other such things together (I made glitter with sand once!), drawing, video games, collecting weird things from the earth, sitting outside thinking about life or fantasizing about love...funnily enough I still do pretty much all of these things, though some not as often.
Lots of forts, cardboard houses, dancing, and Warrior Cat books. I read as much as I breathed.
I'm going to consider the ages between 5 and 12 years old. I loved riding on my bike. Playing games on my gameboy and dreamcast. Adventuring on abandoned(sometimes wasn't) property with friends after school, finding "treasures", watching cartoons and documentaries, playing soccer, a whole myriad of stuff kids usually do.
