What would be your dream come true?

Mine would be to have stable mental health and from that would follow starting a family with my man.
I hope your dreams come true.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Winning the lottery so I wouldn't have to waste half my life doing shitty work. I wouldn't even spend it on anything big, I'd just spread it out over the next 60 years so I'd never have to work. I don't play the lottery though cos it's a con.

  • I want a stable, 8 hour a day, 5 days per week job, that I'm confident and able to do. Early mornings with work waiting, free time later.

I would live alone on maybe 50 acres of rural, private land, in a small, new, log cabin-like house with a good bathroom, and kitchen with an island.

A relatively clean pond would be nice, one with some nice round, gray pebbles.

In my spare time, I'd like to do things like hiking, playing video games, and working on projects or a side business.

Sounds sickeningly altruistic, but I'd wish for everyone to treat everyone else right. Seems if we had that many of the other things we might wish for would follow.

I hope your wish comes true, OP.

Sickening perhaps, but I'm not so sure about altruism part. Sounds like your life has all the adventure, fame, achievement, sex, money, intelligence, and travel that you could ever want. You could just say that you have it all. We all suspect that you do anyway.

I have alot to be thankful for, but I guess that goes to show we all have our pain even if everything looks rosy for us.

    • Thank you, JD. And world truly should be like you wish, but sadly, evil births evil, it's never ending cycle. We can do nothing but praise good and punish crimes.

I thumbed her comment up because I partake in her dream. But I have interpreted it as a wish to have less inequality in the world. Mainly that the ones who live in wretched conditions are able to have a decent life with at the very least their basic needs being met. That's a dream for me.

I have no problem with you being super wealthy and keeping all your cars, mega! I just want everyone else to have a better life!

        • kelili

Less inequality, more redistribution. If we cannot be equally rich let us be equally poor.

The planet will not survive another century under capitalism. The system is already showing its failures, we just have to open our eyes and look around us when we are out in the streets. Most people are wage slaves. What they earn is barely sufficient to cater for all their needs. The rich are getting richer and the rest of us are struggling. Struggling to live decently and struggling to make the rich richer. This makes no sense.

I have no problem with people being rich but I cannot accept that so many are struggling while there is enough resources for all human beings to have a decent life.

Being from an ex communist country, I don't want to be equally poor like everyone else. The reds took all of my family's wealth, killed my great grandfather, imprisoned my grandfather, so I don't really share their ideology...

People are greedy. You can't change that. I can't change it either, so I might as well do everything I can to be richer than other people and have a good life myself. I don't want to live in a world where everyone has a small apartment, everyone has food of low quality on the table, everyone drives a cheap Toyota and everyone's summer is a trip to some pool complex for 5 days.

I want more. And I earn more, I invest more and I enjoy more. My life and the lives of the people I love are the most important to me. I'm sorry, but I don't care if someone is a wage slave halfway around the world.

Would you take out half of your life's savings and give them to someone poorer than you, so they are better off?! I don't think you would... I most definitely wouldn't and anyone who'd tell me I should, for "the greater good", should go play in traffic.

Oh no, I aint never seen her afore. Ok so maybe we dated but we broke up cuz I cheated on her with her mama. But that's only because she went down on my twin brother Lester in back of the bowling alley and I wanted to get even. But it was all wrong on account of her mother being me and Lester's sister. It just made Thanksgiving dinner really difficult and all. I just couldn't take it anymore.

For all my future life plans to work out how I want them to: Get the uni degree I want, earn lots of money in my chosen field, move into my own apartment before the age 25, save enough money to travel the world, volunteer in developing countries, meet my soulmate (maybe while I travelled).

I'd like to start a family, but my standards are set pretty high considering my mother and father fell in love at first sight and have been through enough shit to break most marriages, yet it's probably only made their marriage stronger.

I'd get married by age 30, have three kids by age 40 (one boy, two girls) and own 2 golden retrievers. We would live near the beach and own a boat.

If I didn't have kids I'd just double the amount of dogs...

Nothing fancy, just a simple yet satisfying life!

I guess I might have hoped for something not dissimilar to what you have mentioned in the past. For sure I would have wanted something like that 18 or twenty years ago. I think it would be much more of an attractive thing to me if I were you ten to twenty years younger, had all the money I would need, and were guaranteed pain free childbirth, of male and female fraternal twins.

I would love to have stable mental health for certain as well as perfect physical health! I would like to be a few inches taller, and be able to maintain my ideal weight with little to no effort. I'd love to look like I'm in my late twenties to early thirties, and physically be the equivalent thereof. I would like to be rid of all of the osteoarthritis in body! I would love to be free of back pain, and have a left ankle that hadn't been sprained twice, and a face devoid of acne scars.

I would love to be able to go back to school, and earn a degree in not only my former field of study, but something like psychology, or humanities. I would love to live a life where the little things didn't bother me.

I'm not going to lie to you either though, because I would love a winning lottery ticket, and the ability to maintain my anonymity, because I love, and treasure my peace, and privacy. I would love to be able to heal whatever physical, and mental ailments currently afflict my parents and give them at least another 40 years on this planet!

Also I want to swim with dolphins!

    So that is my dream!

I would love a big, secure house with lots of land, and more animals in my life. I'm not entirely sure if I would want a husband, and kids, but I would love to feel like it didn't matter. I would love to feel like society didn't judge me for being a two time divorcée with no kids.

Winning the lottery, or suddenly my company starts rapidly growing, lots of clients, lots of investment opportunities and I make a lot of money.

Then I can fulfill my dream of owning several companies, owning about 5 more cars, adding another floor to my parents apartment in Bulgaria, turning it into a sweet luxury gallery apartment and living there. They have a house in the mountains and don't want city life.

If I do win the lottery, I'll also buy a yacht and spend summers drinking Chivas Regal 21 and touring the Mediterranean with my girlfriend. Then I will open clubs in major Bulgarian cities. I'll be the typical rich Bulgarian douchebag. I will bribe everyone to get my way and make even more money in the process. In Bulgaria that is...

Basically my biggest dream is to have a lot of money so I can fulfill all of my dreams.
