What would you do if you're held hostage in your basement?

Scream for help at the top of my lumgs. If he tries to shoot ill catch the bullet with my eyelids.

I'll act all punchy and drugged when I see him and not give away that I am completely alert. I'd sink into the wall all droopy while he was talking to me like I was a pure drunk. Speaking in a low, raspy voice and slurring my words, I'd tell him to go upstairs to a particular location in the kitchen. I would tell him that I "think" the note is there...it was moved recently by a family member and supposedly returned to the location is the story I would give. Before he goes up I would beg him for an unnecessary glass of water. Whether he returns with it or not is not the point. I am selling him on my mental/physical condition after having been drugged by him.. When he goes upstairs, I will grab that freakin' saw and hide it behind me and within easy reach. When he returns down the steps empty handed and pissed off, I will be nodding off like a druggie. When he questions me further about the note, I will pretend to have trouble raising my head and I will whisper something unintelligible about the other location of the note. When he says, What the fuck are you saying???! I will weakly gesture for him to come closer and drop my arm. When he juts his head and neck out towards me to listen, I will grab the handsaw and dig it into his neck's jugular vein and pull it through with all of my might. While he is freakin' shocked in those precious 2 or 3 seconds, I will try to grab his gun and completely overpower him.

Whenever you are in a situation where you are given a window of opportunity to attack; think like a freaking monster. Many of us make the mistake of thinking like the prey and not the predator. He put me in that freakin' basement and scary fuckin' monsters live in basements... I gave him one.

In my basement? I would probably wonder why I never knew I even had one. :O

It depends on how long the chain is, if its long then I would use it to choke him.

I think I'd feel most comfortable with option C. I'd feel like I was in control. "If I can saw fast enough, I get free and he goes to jail." Or maybe I'd just act like I was retarded so he'd think I couldn't give him information or understand the situation so he'd let me go.

I'd tell him I don't know nun. He'd get pissed off. And im not letting him get away with what he wants. He could take your stuff n leave you to rot. I'd annoy him and he'd get real mad too. :)

In a situation like this all you do is act crazier than the crazy man. duh. if he screams scream louder. Say very wacky things to throw him off and make him think your a nut job.

I'd over power him, saw off his arm and use it to beat him with. Then, I would tell him to lay down and drop a massive cleveland steamer on his chest.

If you do what he says and give him what he wants, he will most probably kill you after he gets what he wants. So I would rather try to overpower him and have a chance to win or a chance to die, then let him get away with it and have him kill me anyway.

Choice B. Only, if I couldn't break both chains in time, I'd use the one chain broken off from one ankle to throw at him once he was a close enough distance away, 'causing him to lose focus for a few moments, if not knock him off balance, dropping his gun farther from his range. If he gets closer, I'll bend back the length of the saw and release it toward his face, creating another fallback. I'll use this distraction to grab a shoulder or an arm and slice it open, preferably disabling him from touching me at all. I'll repeatedly saw at him hard until he gives up, and I'll have time to work swiftly at my ankle chains and release myself from its confines. I fall over but quickly grab my kidnapper's gun, finish him with a blow to the head, and make my way upstairs where I clothe myself and call the police.

I don't have a safe or a basement and I don't have a lot worth value to steal. I have no idea why someone would rob me. I hardly even have that much in the bank. I am the last person you want to rob. Im the poorist of the poor. I would seduce him! If he isn't gay well I guess I would just give him the safe combination but I dont know what I would be hiding in a safe. Since I have hardly anything worth stealing.

Jokes on them, I don't have a basement. No, but seriously. I'm contemplating between B and C. I have this guilty conscience when I lie, but then again, he's the bad guy so fuck him.

Anyone seen Saw? I'm sure the handsaw wouldn't be able to do the job so I'd cooperate. Anyone who wouldn't with a man with a gun has a deathwish.

I would part lie/part tell the truth. I'd tell him the right room to find the note, but make it very confusing. So he'd go up there, look, come back. Do that maybe twice. While he's gone, I've hidden the saw closer to me, possibly for later if needed. Hopefully he gets frustrated looking for the note so he lets me come with him to get it. I would fumble around looking for it a while while I thought of something to do. It would really depend on what I might have in the kitchen and what he does while we're looking around. I might even try to convince him I'm sick, need to use the bathroom, or need a drink to calm down and at least see how those scenarios go. If nothing else, I might gain some trust from him if I DON'T do anything and actually end up having to give him the note. Maybe I'd tell him about someone I know who has a lot more money and jewelry at home (not a REAL person, of course), see what happens. Maybe he'll want me to take him there, if so I'd have him go somewhere near where I knew I could be in a safer spot and maybe have help and just bail. I guess that's what I'd try!
