There are many and you can just go online and look.
Personally i'd rather do volunteer work as you never know where the money ends up when you just send money. There's been quite a few scandals involving money for charity going to the wrong people, the rich are greedy you know...

There are many great charities foing fantastic work.

But what defines a good charity is very difficult, perhaps look for something that hits close to home.
Perhaps a loved one has been affected by cancer or heart disease, infant loss, diabetes, dementia.

But it's not always about money, sometimes a donation of time is much more important. A visit to the elderly, sick or dying, serving food for the homeless.

In the end it depends on what you want to support and various community or world wide factors.

However, be aware that there are charities spend much of their money on executive and office compensation, and little on the programs they are collecting for. This includes some Churches.

Other charities spend most of their money on the programs and little on office and executive expenses.

The later group is the ones I have decided to support.

There are a number of Charity Rating Sites on the internet. I suggest you search for them and compare them for the information you are looking for.

One of the better ones that I check first (but not last) is:

    https://www.charitywatch.org/

I wish you best with this,

I agree. We visited St. Jude’s some years ago and it was heartbreaking. And they never bill the parents, although they do bill your insurance and take donations. My mother has gives for many years as we do.
