Whats the worst song youve heard recently?
Is there a song that you really hate especially if its popular or all your friends like it? Kind of like on Seinfeld where everybody loves the Gap commercial except Jerry.

I.G.G.Y. I'm so fancy... you already know.. ughh. Grinds my nerves to the bone when I hear this.
Hey Brother by Avicii
Pompeii by Bastille
The Fox (What Does The Fox Say) - Ylvis
But I can comfortably say nearly everything in the mainstream UK and US charts at any given moment is terrible. BBC Radio 1 makes me want to vomit for precisely that reason.
Die young by kesha... sends such a crappy message like death should be celebrated. To die is the worst thing that can happen to anyone
"Who dat, who dat, I.G.G.Y..." I can't stand it. When I first heard it, I didn't think it would get so popular. Not sure how something like that can seriously be called a "hit."
i keep hearing that "Rude" song when scanning the radio, honestly never stopped to listen to the whole thing because it didn't catch my interest, although it seems like it's played on at least 3 radio stations at any given time. also, I love the music in the background of "Rather Be" but i don't really care for the vocals
Probably something by One Direction. I don't care enough to find out the name of the song.
Recently?
Well, it's either some french song where a guy sings something (that to me sounds like) "Kick the fan", or Bubble butt.
Needless to say, both songs suck hard.
Anything drake makes these days.
0-100, believe me, etc....
OMG it's like can't you put some
music into the damn song?
There's a song over here on the radio all the time now with the line 'everything is nothing that it seems', which truly irritates me.
So I nominate that. Dunno who sings it.
I can't really think of an answer :/
It's definitely not the worst song I've heard recently and I actually like it more now I've let it grow on me (and the hype has faded away), but I didn't instinctively like Happy by Pharrell Williams.
The crap on the radio or youtube like Miley or Beyonce. I hate them, they killed Music !!
The major labels 'killed' music. Or more accurately, they killed mainstream music.
The labels are the ones who pay to have their shitty productions rammed down our throats, knowing that a reasonable size of the population is impressionable enough to consume it.
Blame rests evenly on the shoulders of the labels, the artists and ultimately the consumers :/
Finally someone who doesn't like Bouncy-Bouncy. I cant stand her awful music! and her ridiculous name.
Anything by ex Disney whores, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande. Not Britney spears though, love Britney.
"Blurred Lines." Are you KIDDING me? Only a sick, twisted bastard would write that song and think it's even remotely OK. There are many irritating songs, but that one is morally wrong.
I dunno what it's called but they play this song at my workplace where this no talent hack is like "Tell em' that it's my birthday..."
Nicki Minaj "Anaconda"
which btw made music history apparently
its like THE twerk anthem *cough cough* lol
Yes...
-back to the shack by weezer (sadly, because i actually like that band...)
-1000 horsepower by godsmack
There's several others that my radio station decides they need to be played incessantly too. I can't stand that shit.
The radio here is overplaying jack white's new song Lazeretto. And its pissing me off because I like him and they are going to ruin it for me.
Not only overplayed but completely out of character for the beautiful things he has created in his many projects and bands. That whole album seems kinda off for me.
I'm not familiar with that artist.
I hate it how the radio does that. I wish I knew what dictates how a radio decides what to play. Why can't there be a GOOD radio station that doesn't have to play the same crap all the time...
I always liked the blue album, I'm not too familiar with the rest of their stuff..
That is so true, blue album is just as good as pinkerton! It slipped my mind!
I'm checking out Pinkerton right now as I type this... I really like it.
I'm kind of pissed off that I've never really heard any of the stuff on it. Stupid ass radio always playing the same shit...
It's the only one that has the same vibe as blue album. The rest do sound like them, you can tell by the way they play, but there's just a faint similarity in the chords they use, etc. And I remember reading that lead singer (whose name I forget right now) couldn't stand playing any of their earlier works, which are what their fans like best.
I forgot that one, I don't even know how because I love it just as much as Pinkerton! Actually, put together, they sound like one full album.
Yup yup sorta like incubus for me too. I love mournibg view and make yourself ablums, but crow left the muder was half oky and half meh. And everything since then was terrible
Some artists seem to be eternally prolific and able to maintain high quality creativity. Others seem to have peaks that will never be reached again. Tori Amos is a good example. Everything she did in the 90s was absolutely amazing. By 2000 her stuff started sounding the same and had no resemblance to the last good album in 98 or the others. Then others like radio head mature into better artists. It's interesting.
Honestly, when something sucks really badly I have a tendency to try to block it out, and not remember.
Im asking because every time I go to Target this awful song comes on. This song was so bad I literally stopped what I was doing and looked for a place to barf. After hearing it three times I googled what the hell this awful song was...its called "My kind of Night". The lyrics are cringe-inducing, it sounds like a trifecta of fake-country, techno and a wannabe rapper. And today I read the singer won some country music award. HOW could anyone like that crap?
