What is going on in a persons brain who makes alt accounts on an already anonymous website? I dont understand why you would want to pretend to be a different person on a different name. I wonder if this is indicative of some kind of personality disorder. I find it quite strange that people do this. I dont understand the appeal of it.
Maybe some of them are bored and like acting out "characters" on different accounts? Or perhaps they've been blocked by certain users and wish to still interact with them? Maybe they don't want to be held accountable for anything their original account said in the past that they are contradicting now?
Not 100% sure, but it seems like an awful lot of effort and a waste of time to me. Sounds exhausting to put on different personas and ensure you're assigning the correct one to each alt every time, too!
Perhaps they have split personalities.
Having more than one account means they can talk to themselves online, if they chose to do so.
I had a few in the past but I made them so that people knew it was me, back when it was a different, closer crowd. I just wanted to answer certain questions with a certain name, it was amusing to me. Like if something had to do with manifestos or bombs, I'd be Kaczynski. If I could say "no fruit cup!" I was nurse diesel.
I wasn't trying to hide me or troll people or any of that shit. Just getting into character
I don't get it either. There's this crazy person on here that I'd block everytime she'd make another account but I realized blocking her was just as pointless as her alt account making so I stopped doing it. XD
Itll be a "new user" thats been here for 2 weeks (you'll know its that girl or the russian dude) and then they suddenly will bring up something I said on here years ago like it's a big win or blackmail or something. They assume others here care about their online IIN reputation or something. Like its something that serious.
I think the chick I'm talking about is different than yours because I've never seen her in cahoots with the Russian guy.
I won't use names but the one I'm talking about has told suicidal users on here multiple times to die. This person has also insulted me when I had a different opinion but then the second I give advice she agrees with, she's sucking up to me. XD She never seems to remember doing this nonsense because she will go into denial mode the second one of the users she harassed calls her out on making a new account.
I try to keep my distance from her when I can and hide her comments on my posts when she tries to pick on someone for no reason. I don't know why, but it bothers me when suicidal people are encouraged to off themselves.
The people bothering you sound nuts. There's really no point in trying to keep an online reputation. XD
Its countessdouche shes the chic that does that. She gets obsessed with bullying certain people and moves to different ones. I know when its her and just block the alt. I got like 40 usernames blocked.
Nah the one I'm thinking of is the lesbian equivalent to a "nice guy". That user got upset with you on one or two of her accounts because you said she has a loser mentality. You're completely right that she does have a loser mentality, btw. I really want to keep names out of this since I don't want my account canned. XD
That user is supposedly relatively new but mentioned something I said a year ago. This person was anonymous when they said it to me but after I blocked a username later that day for being annoying (ihidabody) I came back and it wouldnt let me see any of those anonymous comments anymore. Its either russian guy or countess. Fuckin weirdos dude, if you dont get banned I dont see the point.
Oh yeah thats another one I guess. That one seems different than the countess chic. I noticed that too.
Some ideas I have are:
1) The reputation of their username has been damaged/people don’t like them, so they want to start over new
2) Pretending to “be” certain things (man vs woman, black vs white, gay vs straight, rich vs poor) can make your arguments come off as stronger or more convincing.
3) They want to vote and/or respond multiple times to the same question so it appears their side is “winning.”
With several alts you can practice playwriting. Build dramatic intensity with your own dialogue. Just buy a couple of burner phones and log into wifi.

Yeah block who you suspect posted the post then go try to comment on the post and refresh the page. If the comment counter does not go up by 1 post then unblock and comment again and see if the counter goes up. If theyre blocked the comment counter does not go up when you refresh the page. It takes way too much time and is pointless but people do it.
