Honestly.. I think people put to much emphasis on virginity. In my opinion the longer you wait the more you'll be ready and have a better chance of staying with the person who intend to lose it to. Too many people now a days think of sex as nothing and it's just really sad because people just think you HAVE to lose it because it's what everyone else it doing. Seriously people please just wait for the right person and time to lose it to, preferably someone you love and trust and it will be so worth it in the end and you'll be less likely to regret what you did later in life & NEVER NEVER let anyone pressure you into doing it, if they really LOVE you and CARE about you then they WILL wait until YOU are ready and willing. Not sure if anyone else will agree with me or not; just my thoughts on the subject..
I understand your opinion but what if you just want to lose your virginity because YOU WANT TO? Not because someone is pressuring you into doing it or because of the "everyone else is doing it so I have to too" nonsense, but because you just want to have sex (e.g. you're horny?). What about that? Is that fine to do even if you're young?
Well it's not really "nonsense", there are alot of people who think that way. (There are a lot of girls who think that is the only way they can please their boyfriends and make them happy is just to have sex with them because they are pressured into doing so and then they feel like crap after they find out that they were being objectified just for sex.) You're free to express your opinions as well; but this is just as I see it. To your comment about losing your virginity because you want to, I really fail to see many girls and women who would knowingly participate in such a thing if they knew that was your only intentions; sex is the most intimate you're ever going to be with anyone and I really don't feel that it's something you should just do with just anyone. Everyone is different, everyone loses their virginity at different ages, some are younger then others and if that's what you decide to choose, then so be it, I'm not here to judge anyone, it's not my place.
I've known of a lot of girls saying that they wanted to go ahead and lose it to get it out of the way-- that is to say, though, most girls that WANT to lose it, especially if they aren't in a relationship, only want to lose it because they're scared of it happening at a party or at college.
Unfortunately, yes, a lot of people DO think like that. I just find it stupid... :/
Well... I was gonna do just about that. Have sex with a guy who just wanted to have sex and didn't give a shit about me and I had the same intentions. I just thought he was hot and so I thought 'why not?'. But there were a few problems and we didn't... to my disappointment... So now I'm waiting for another opportunity to come my way.
To me, sex is just sex. It has nothing to do with love, unless of course you share the experience with someone you love, otherwise it's just two people making each other feel good... I dunno, just my opinion...

There is no point in telling people to wait, the only reason that this opinion is voiced is that because for most people, their first time was shit, and they think they can change this for people. YOU CANT. The loss of a virginity is always going to a bit awkward, hurt a bit, or be with someone who you now regret. And thats okay.

People pay too much attention to when other people lose their virginity. Humans are biologically programmed to have sex and to be sexual beings. Just do it when you feel it naturally and the time seems right. Until then, always keep a condom on hand. Results are crazy! As much as I respect those who wait, I will admit that I'm glad that I lost mine fairly young (right before 17th birthday). By losing it before college and "adulthood" I was sure not to lose it to an accidental random hookup.
Honestly, it's not a big deal, and sex is better after that first time. I'd wait till you're emotionally ready and can handle being responsible for the consequences, if there be any.
I am suprised with all the sexual stories posted that the majority of users are virgins. I myself am a virgin but thats due to me not having a very large sex drive. I have had quite a few occasions that I could of lost my virginity, some that no one would take and some alot of people would take. I think the people got insulted when I told them "why would I want to do that".

I have a odd view on the subject, mainly because of my conflicting personality aspects. Basically i think that people should be free to express themselves freely. With whomever and however they way (within legal boundries). So not so much emphasis should be placed on virginity. But i also feel that sex should mean something, it is important and there is a fair lessened chance of regretting your first time if its with someone you love. I incidently lost my virginity when i was 16.
i was 14 when i lost my virginity and it was to my married maths teacher in his 40's and we kept on going for almost a yr until i moved schools and i actually loved him and he loved me... i think that if ur still a virgin then u shouldn't listen to all the crap ur parents give u about waiting until u find someone who really loves u and u love them, but dont do it with someone u dont wanna do it with either, just make sure ur sure and dont listen to what ppl tell u, its ur life, do what u want with it
When I started high school I promised myself I'd lose it by 16. Did it with the first guy who ever asked me out. Why? Because people had started dating when I was 10 (4th grade) and all those years I felt horribly left out. Only beat the deadline by a few weeks, but I did it!
