When i was a kid i used to feed my dog everyting i ate. iin?

I voted "normal", as it is very common for people to feed their pets people food, and considering you were a child, its even more common for kids to do this.

However, many professionals discourage the practice, as many human foods are dangerous to dogs, and it also encourages bad habits, like begging, and in some cases, stealing food.

For example, Chocolate is toxic to dogs, and can cause nausea and vomiting, possibly even death in small dogs.

Seems kids do it a lot my niece I catch giving the dog food every time she eats and she's 3. There like best friends it’s pretty cute. Normal

I am not sure what could possibly be a reason for this to be abnormal.

Don't worry a child or anyone feeding the family dog out of affection is completely normal. If only you could see our family dog's. We feed them everything from meats to veggies even onion's and so far their perfect health energetic baby's and we love them.

To be brutally honest, you didn't feed the dog anything that you ate, unless you fed it your poop

Wtf did your parents never tell you how bad chocolate is for dogs?

My grandpa feeds his dog an entire meal pretty much everyday and gives her ice cream. Of course its normal.

I think it's kinda funny.
Folks get so picky over pet foods.
So, particular.
But the feral dog or cat up the street eats anything it finds and is often a mean m.f.
I had pets that ate anything, and ones that only ever had official pet food...
Love of cheese made one cat kinda fat.
She literally ate everything I did.
No more or less healthy then pet food only cats.
That said, Now that I know certain foods are supposed to be bad.
I don't let pets have them.

Totally normal but chocolate is bad for animals

I think it is normal, maybe because I did the same in my childhood. Haha

I am unaware of its risks since I had no relevant knowledge and my parents believed dogs should eat human's food as well because of the out-of-date thought.
