When to stop breastfeeding

I'm a single mum who has breastfed and is still breastfeeding her kids, I believe in extended breastfeeding, which means its down to the child to decid when to stop.

But when is it a good time to stop or how long should they breastfeed for?

    One woman my mother knew decided to stop after the baby started growing teeth - and he bit her nipple.

      yeah mine did that too but didnt stop me letting them breastfeeding from and they still do

    I don't believe there is an age that is too old to breastfeed. Breastmilk is heathly and as some have stated, it can be an enjoyable experience for mother. Breastfeeding is a win-win situation that any age.

    well my boys certanily enjoy it and ive got used to them sucking when ever they want to feed or just suck on my breasts, what age would you say they should stop? also they help them selfs when they wnat it too!!

    When they start using it as creamer for their coffee or you have to ask them to shave first because the stubble is irritating your breasts it's probably time to think about weaning.

      well it is upto my kids hwne to stop and not me so if they wnated to at that age id let them

            well if you're letting your kids decide how you parent then... you just may be breastfeeding until they're in the nursing home
