You sound like you are fetishising gay men, wanting them to be your stereotypical “gay best friend” instead of seeing them as regular people.
I'm fine with gay people. I just find gay pride month to be stupid. I find every pride month to be stupid as it's just history and aspects of life to be remembered. Rather being clumped into a singular month. On the same note it also implies that the majority group is the rest of the months pride. 1 black pride month and 11 white pride months.
To me every month is pride month. Pride in humanity!
They say they do pride month so people will stop hating them and take them serious and they're out there in the street wearing buttplugs and thongs marching around w the kids seeing them. Gay pride parades are the worst thing for gay people. I dont mind gay people but if you are a dude in a mini skirt, a belly shirt, with lipstick on holding a rainbow flag I dont take you serious at all and you annoy me.
People like expressing their individuality. I'm sure it took Jewish people time to not be like "fuck Egypt" and "fuck Germany", and it's taking time for Native and African Americans to not be like "fuck white people"
Non cis hetero people feel like they've been persecuted for a long time, to this day even, same as Native and African Americans. A pride month here, some reparations there, scholarships for a few minorities, they're all like little bandaids that help bring everyone in harmony. The foibles of today's societies will be an example to avoid for future generations. If Idiocracy is a viable outcome for humanity, than so is spiritual growth.
A Bandaid that inspire further hatred is not the way forward. You dont solve racism with more racism no matter if you belive it's the right thing to do since at the end of the day it's still a policy that is directed towards a race. Most issues that are afflicting minorities can be applied via social class rather than skin tone.
Is Oprah oppressed? The richest black woman in history. By those who propagate critical race theory she is, and deserves more support than poor whites that are (in their terms the superior social class) dispute being poor.
We need to be treating these issues as class issues rather than race issues. Fixing racism by racism wont solve anything. Fixing social issues that are causing poverty will help all communities.
If you need a special month to express your group pride, were you really prideful in your daily life in the first place? I thought you were gay 24/7 not for only a month. Express how you want, dont be a sheep.
