    IMO, I think it would be cats. They don't bark at night and keep you up like certain dogs in my neighborhood.

    It depends on your personality and what kind of companionship you want from a pet. I think dogs and cats are about the same and I really love dog-like cats!

    Dogs do have an advantage as they are good at walking on leashes and have a pack mentality which makes them more obedient. Whereas the majority of cats tend to be more independent and lower maintenance which is good for someone with a less active lifestyle.

    I, of course, am bipetual so I love dogs and demanding, in your face dog-like cats!
