Which boat would you pick??

I'm curious what kind of boat people like most. Let's say you're at a boat show and win a grand prize drawing. You get your choice of four boats. Each boat is worth about the same money. Your choices are:

Go-fast power boat - super fast and cool looking, but has very little open space in the cabin or up top for friends to gather or lay out.

Sport cruiser power boat - good performing twin engine cabin cruiser. The cabin has full cooking, sleeping and lounging space. Full head (bathroom). Up top there is plenty of space to hang out and party.

Go-fast sail boat - fast, cool looking and maneuverable. But, next to no open space in the cabin and up top for hanging out.

Larger sail boat - good performing sloop with quality rigging. The cabin has full cooking, sleeping and lounging space. Full head. Up top there is a fair amount of space to hang out and party.

Try not to get anal about the descriptions, or lack thereof. This is all the info you have to tell them your choice.

Go-fast power boat 3
Sport cruiser power boat 19
Go-fast sailboat 4
Larger sailboat 15

Says the girl afraid of water, living on an island, whose beaches are often visited by sharks of a similar size and temperament. lol

Do you genuinely believe you're saying something clever?

Please do tell me how my continent being surrounded by water (like any other continent, and many other countries) have anything to do with my dislike of boats and fear of water.

If you're going to try to insult people, engage your brain first. You're just embarrassing yourself. Again.

As I live on the same large continent surrounded by water I thought his comment was quite funny

I'm not afraid of boats or the water and I the hysteria about sharks is just plain ridiculous. I know people who won't swim in Port Phillip Bay because they're afraid of sharks, but they drive cars on the road ...

Actually, the movie Jaws came out in OZ, when we were sailing around the world. I went to see it alone and returned to the boat to tell both wife and daughter, that as long as we were sailing, they were forbidden to see that movie. I have never before or since forbidden anyone anything, but that movie was just too scary for an impressionable, someone living and sailing on a boat.

Whichever one I could sell for the most money as I would have no interest in keeping a boat.

Sport cruiser - much faster, especially on calm days when sailboats are sitting still or under power, and much more room down below and topside than a sailboat of similar length. That said, I love the look of sailboats and have several large models of them in my home.

Cruiser. Something similar to the Princess 72.
That thing is the sex symbol of medium-sized yachts XD
She is an oceanic beauty! I would name her "Luxuria".

God, if I ever have the money for one of these babies, I am so getting one! Screw vacationing abroad, I have a boat! I go wherever I want. Oh yeah!

Of those, the large sailboat. It has more function and requires no fuel.

Sport cruiser power boat for me, fast enough to also pull skis

  • Your descriptions of sport crusier power boat and large sail boat were mostly the same, but I would take one of those. My dream house is to live on a large boat house.

I used to race sailboats. Reading squalls on the water had a zen to it.

Fast sailboat. I'd name it "The Sloop-John B"

  • I don't want any of those options. I would like to use one of those deep sea submarine and explore the Mariana Trench, the part of the ocean few have ever seen.

The large sailboat, but it would be a long keel ketch.
