    the PS3 has the better hardware (more reliable, blu-ray player and high storage on discs).. Not to mention better exclusives in recent years (uncharted, MGS4 etc.. )also free online play. a real benefit for someone who only has time to play games once a week.

    The xbox had a solid launch. pumped out allot of sweet games. and has the best multiplayer service on consoles. However shitty hardware and charging for xbox live. not to mention the fail of the HD-DVDs, red ring and kinect.

    Wii - popular for noobs. but good first party stuff (mario galaxy, kart and SSBB)

    PCs are like the wild west. has some good shit. but its complicated and tooo many hackers about.

    Verdict: PS3 is the best.. but i guess your more likley to go with the console all of your friends are playing.

    Personally, I own a 360 and a crappy PC. PC has the best capabilities and the 360 the best games (opinion). The PS3 is kind of in between the two of them.

    They each have their strong and weak points. There is no definitive winner in my opinion.

    I am seriously getting tired of these fanboy wars. The thing is that there is no such thing as the better console. Sure PS3 is technically more powerful than X360, but then again a PC can be much better than that again (PC isn't a console BTW). It is absolutetely up to one individuals preferences.

    As a owner of both a X360, XBOX, PS2, PS3, Wii and a gaming PC I can say I personally prefer the PC, it has the keyboard and mouse for accuracy in FPSs and strategy games and the possibilty to have a controller connected with third person games.
    Other than that I can say that I like the exclusive games to the PS3 a lot more than those that are made to the X360. But the X360 controller are a lot more comfortable and I think the interface is better.
    The Wii is for me just Wii, not actually compareable to the others.

    But the consoles I've had the most fun with are without doubt the N64 and original XBOX and the PC.

    All I know who own all these consoles share my opinion that the PC is best overall. The problem with polls like these are that the people who are voting most probably only own one console, for example the PS3 and they vote PS3 of course. I think you aren't qualified to answer questions like these without owning them all.

    The answers you get will ALWAYS be subjective.
