Which horror movie is better?

My friend and I were debating whether the movie " The Shining " or the movie " Alien " is the better horror-movie. Both absolutely awesome so it's hard to choose. Which one would you pick of those two?

    i imagine jack nicholson bein in real life all the time like he is in the shining

      well if you want to get technical it would be classified as Scifi-horror.

      Like he said. Alien is SciFi/Action. Scary but still SciFi. Different genre.
      The Shining is supernatural and psychological.
