    As a classically trained pianist and synth user I'm more than qualified to say that physically they are exactly the same.

    You only said harder to "play" but if you include the sound design aspects of synths then you've added a whole other level.

    I imagine they'd be the exact same to play, since they are both keyboards of the same size and shape. Though, synthesizers have more options, so I'd say synthesizers based on that alone, since that's the only difference between the two that I know of.
