I agree about the smartphone being a soul binder, if at least while one is using it. But the internet? Games? Music players? These things help enrich people's lives if they use them right. Video games are helpful in overcoming trauma and suffering. Music players help one escape the torment of the radio. These things aren't purely evil. They are overused and relied on by many but... idk I don't totally disagree with you, but maybe you're taking this a bit too far. I can only speak for myself and the only thing I find to be an excessively convenient soul eater, personally, is my smart phone.
