Which medium brings out your least talkative side?

I just realized I am an enormous textwhore i.e. talk a lot and send lots of texts, and type a lot on the keyboard too. But I barely talk face to face, and most of the time enjoy/prefer listening.

Made me want to know what other people are like.

Speaking face to face 15
Speaking on the phone 17
Typing on a keyboard (Emails/IM chat/Forums/Internet) 7
Typing on a phone (Texting/WhatsApp/Snapchat/Internet) 10
I talk about the same amount in all of the above. 11

I'm better with face to face, phone, if I can't do that; that's where I'm most comfortable. I CAN do text, but I don't really like it, unless I'm speaking to someone special that can't call for some reason. As far as forums, this is the only one I've ever been on, nuff said. I absolutely hate email.

Maybe I spend 2 to 3 minutes on the phone a week, maybe. No texting, twerketing, twizzling or weeting at all.
If it ain't face to face, you'll not be talking to me. Oh yeah, the VHF radio is also a rarely used method of communication.

When I don't feel like speaking, I will remain silent (and I do not mean that literally in any way, as I will hum or sing to myself) for hours. But I seem to need a certain amount of human interaction, which switches me talkative mode and then I can't be shut up. Talkative mode can last from minutes to 2 hours. 2 hours is a long time for a conversation.

A lot of people get 'phone shy'. I know I do.

In terms of which im most comfortable with, it's probably typing on a keyboard/phone.

I'm not much of a talker In a lot of situations. I don't like emails and people call me out on not responding to texts, but I'm quietest in group situations.

    • So basically, you don't talk at all.

Ehh kinda. I'm good on stuff like this and I love one-on-one stuff once I know the person better. In those situations I sometimes feel like I talk too much.

i absolutely hate talking on the phone i think its awkward i can't hear the other person and im always worried someone can hear what im talking about. when i text i am very direct and to the point one or two messages and the conversation is over. i never use email or chat on the computer or anything like that never had to. i prefer face to face its so much more personal and you can see the other persons face theres emotion to it the whole bit

I'm the most talkative face-to-face. Texting is a decent substitute for me although I am really bad with remembering to answer messages unless it's someone I regularly text. Talking on the phone feels forced and I am rarely ever at my computer...

Honestly, Skype weirds me out. Talking face to face is fine, but something about the way the camera/microphone works just makes me uncomfortable.

I hate talking on the phone. It always feels so forced. I hate texing. Sarcasm, sincerity, and emotions don't translate well. Also, texting is inefficient for longer conversations. Even here on IIN I have to go out of my way, noting that my message is genuine or sincere, so as to ensure it is seen the right light.

Phone talking and texting are only used to make appointments to talk face to face.
